Added 2021-07-11 23:57:50 +0000 UTCi love mark schultz's work (top two image references) so i did a study to try and emulate his older style, from Xenozoic tales 13 and 14. the pencils turned out good but when i tried to ink the image with some nice dark shadows it looked TERRIBLE. so i toned back the inked lines a bunch and used some watercolor brushes for color. although i like the result here i need to do more practice on that heavy inked line work with light feathering
