After the shocking cold wave, Japan is now experiencing weather that feels as if we’ve skipped straight past spring.
I’m writing this diary while sweating because I’m still dressed in warm winter clothes.
And before I knew it, it was already March.
March is considered spring in Japan, so warm weather isn’t unusual, but this heat feels excessive.
I’ve particularly noticed how much the sea temperature has risen, and recently, the types of fish living in our waters have genuinely changed.
These are fish that normally inhabit northern Japan, but it seems like their fishing grounds are shifting further north, while tropical fish from the south are becoming more common.
Since Japan is surrounded by complex ocean currents, I can’t say for sure that this is all due to global warming, but I can definitely feel the changes in the environment.
If the warming continues and Japan turns into a subtropical region, I really hope micro bikinis become even more popular!
