One of Japan’s traditional foods is onigiri (rice balls).🍙←
An onigiri is made by shaping rice into a round or triangular form, making it easy to eat. Some are simply seasoned with salt, while others have fillings that pair well with rice. Because of this, they are commonly packed in Japanese lunchboxes.
You could even call them a type of homemade fast food.
Recently, however, many specialty onigiri shops have popped up. They offer not only simple, home-style flavors but also luxurious versions made with premium ingredients.
Although onigiri are popular for their affordability, they have also gained international appeal as part of Japan’s traditional food culture. In the past, when people opened Japanese restaurants overseas, they mostly focused on sushi or udon. But now, a friend of mine told me that their family has opened an onigiri shop in France.
By the way, in our area, there is a long-beloved onigiri chain.
Rather than the trendy, upscale onigiri that have become popular lately, they serve extremely cheap and absurdly large rice balls.
Whether it’s onigiri, butts, or boobs—we just can’t resist going big!
