Despite being spring according to the calendar, Japan has been experiencing scorching hot weather resembling midsummer for the past few days.

Hmm? It seems like I'm always talking about abnormal weather. But that just goes to show how the concept of seasons is crumbling.

Japan used to be known for its distinct four seasons: warm spring, hot summer, cool autumn, and cold winter. However, it feels like those characteristics are fading away.

Just like the seasons, one of the defining features shaping Japan's nature is the frequency of earthquakes. Earthquakes have been occurring frequently recently, yet the Japanese people don't get scared even with earthquakes that shake their homes. Of course, there is damage to infrastructure and housing, but we remain unusually calm.

Globally, it seems rare to find an area where earthquakes occur so frequently, and I've heard stories of foreign travelers panicking when they experience earthquakes in Japan. However, their reaction is undoubtedly more normal. It's us who have gone mad!

By the way, whenever an earthquake occurs, internet users in Japan tend to spread a tweet from a certain busty female voice actress stating, "My breasts didn't shake during this earthquake."
