🗨️ About the content:
This was a dialogue I really didn’t want to break up into tiny updates. I think it’s important to be able to read it in one piece, without interruptions.
And honestly… I struggled a lot with it.
You all know how things are in the world right now – topics like this are uncomfortable, and many would rather not see them at all.
But here’s the thing: You can’t create honest stories or portray a character authentically if you smooth out the edges, try to make it “advertiser-friendly” – or worse: child-friendly. 🥲
Censoring or softening a perpetrator’s words doesn’t change the reality. So I decided to let Davido speak exactly the way he would, if he were real. Not to shock you – but because I believe we shouldn’t water down difficult conversations.
🛑 For those of you currently struggling: there’s a trigger warning for this chapter. But don’t worry: I will never sensationalize or visually depict this content. That’s all I want to say about it.

🗨️ Zum Inhalt:
Diesen Dialog wollte ich möglichst nicht zerpflücken. Ich glaube, es ist wichtig, dass man ihn möglichst zusammenhängend lesen kann – nicht häppchenweise in kleinen Updates.
Und… puh. Ich hab ehrlich gesagt ziemlich mit diesem Part gehadert.
Ihr wisst ja, wie die Welt gerade aussieht – solche Themen sind unbequem, und viele möchten sie am liebsten gar nicht sehen. Aber: Ich glaube nicht, dass man echte Aufklärung betreiben oder einen Charakter authentisch darstellen kann, wenn man die Ecken abrundet, alles „werbefreundlich“ verpackt – oder schlimmer noch: kinderfreundlich macht. 🥲
Etwas wegzupiepen oder dem Täter „angenehmere“ Worte in den Mund zu legen, ändert nichts an der Realität.
Deshalb habe ich mich bewusst entschieden, Davido so direkt sprechen zu lassen, wie er es tun würde, wenn er wirklich existieren würde. Nicht um zu schockieren – sondern weil ich finde, dass man Themen wie dieses nicht weichzeichnen darf.
🛑 Für alle, die gerade mit ähnlichen Themen struggeln, gibt es natürlich eine Triggerwarnung. But don't worry: Ich werde solche Inhalte niemals sensationalisieren oder grafisch darstellen.

Whenever you tackle a difficult topic, they’ll pull the wildest claims straight out of nowhere. The main accusation is usually something like: “Why would you write something like this??? You must secretly support the crimes you’re depicting!” And the wildest part? They say that even when there’s not a single shred of evidence for it. You could literally write a passionate story fighting for justice—and there will still be people twisting your intentions and trying to turn it all against you. I’m honestly heartbroken about how the internet—and people—have evolved. In my opinion, we’re already living in a climate of intense censorship. It’s no longer really possible to express yourself freely without fear. No matter what you do. Unless, maybe, you stick to the most harmless fluff :,) But… I have something to say. I want to process things, help people who feel the same, start important conversations! It’s not easy.

2025-05-29 21:15:46 +0000 UTCI just feel bad for Derek because he was absolutely not expecting to meet such a terrible creepy person and have a terrible creepy conversation… he’s probably like so caught off guard on where the conversation is going 😭 But yes I agree with all the others that the dialogue is great. I know you have had to deal with a lot of censorship from institutions/platforms like webtoon Patreon and also some readers or internetters - so you are super careful (also of course bc the subject matter deserves a lot of intention and care) but also- this is obviously an adult piece that deals with heavy topics that are also very real experiences for a lot of people- so obviously it would have adult conversations and uncomfortable parts. So all this to say I hope you don’t let non-nuanced naysayers impact the authenticity of your work bc you are giving it all the justice it deserves!
