new tax rules for patreon
Added 2020-05-06 20:15:52 +0000 UTClooks like patreon is updating their sales tax rules starting july 1. i will see what i can do on my end to minimize any impact it would have on everyone subscribed to me but i can't do anything until the end of may when they promise to give creators some advance tax options.
i don't know what that will entail but i am hoping i can take some of that burden onto myself if possible

roger that. it's just, when i read it, the article sounded like people would be changed more for being a supporter and i don't want that to happen

2020-05-07 23:42:42 +0000 UTC😅 those taxes have been applied to me for more than a year... and since i'm italian they're something like 22% because patreon is considered "luxury goods".
