Naruto: Copy System#607+608: The Baratie Sea Restaurant, Don't Drag Me Down With You

Because of Arlong's death, Cocoyasi Village held a banquet, bringing out all the best food and drink they had.

It was clear that everyone was thrilled by his demise.

"Thank you, Nami. We misunderstood you before. We're sorry," a few villagers admitted, approaching her with apologetic expressions.

Nami forgave them. Or rather, she had never been angry in the first place.

"Nojiko, I'm leaving..." Nami said to her sister as they sat together.

Nojiko's smiling face turned serious. She looked at Nami and shook her head slightly. "I know you have to. Just... be safe out there."

Nojiko didn't want her to leave, but she also knew about her dream—to draw a map of the entire world. It was a Grand dream, one that was difficult to achieve.

Now that Nami was going to pursue it, Nojiko would not stand in her way.

"Yes, I'll come back to see you in the future. By the way, the Berries I earned before, I'll leave them all to you."

Nami said to Nojiko.

Getting money from the money-grubbing Nami was really not an easy thing, but Nojiko was the person she valued the most. So she really wanted her to live a better life.

Nojiko did not refuse, but she still gave Nami a few words of advice.

————

The next day, Nami went to Belle-mère's grave to pay her respects, and then left Cocoyasi Village with Shin.

Looking at Cocoyasi Village, Nami was a little lost in thought.

“Don’t worry, it’s not like you’re never coming back. If you miss the village, you can always return.” Shin said to Nami.

Nami nodded, then asked Shin, "Captain, would it be possible to plant a tree on the ship? A tangerine tree."

Besides money, what Nami liked the most was tangerines.

“There are empty spots on the ship. If you want to plant a tree, go ahead—but you’ll have to take care of it yourself,” Shin told Nami.

He didn’t turn her down.

The Pluton was enormous, with plenty of unused space. As for whether the tangerines would taste good, that didn’t concern him.

"Thank you, Captain~" Nami said to Shin with joy.

"By the way, have you heard of the sea restaurant Baratie?" Shin asked Nami. As a person from the East Blue, she should have heard of it.

"I've heard of it. It's said to be a sea restaurant floating on the sea, but because it's drifting, no one knows its fixed location—"

The Baratie had no fixed location and was always drifting on the sea, so it was not easy to find.

"I’ll find it myself, then." Shin unleashed his terrifying Observation Haki. For most, covering an island was impressive enough—but his stretched across the sea.

“Found it.”

Shin chuckled lightly, then directly controlled the Pluton to change direction.

“Found it? How did you find it?” Nami looked at Shin with a dazed expression. 'You didn't even move, how did you find the Baratie?'

“It’s a power called Observation Haki.” Shin said to Nami.

When Shin realized Nami didn't know what Observation Haki was, he went to find Olvia and asked her to teach Nami the basics.

They'd be heading to the Grand Line and New World soon, so it would be good for Nami to learn more skills. If she was interested, Olvia could train her in combat too.

It wasn't about making Nami incredibly strong—just giving her enough ability to protect herself. If she stayed too weak and couldn't even defend herself, it would become a real problem.

She couldn't always depend on others for protection. Of course, this all depended on whether Nami actually wanted to learn.

Getting stronger wasn't easy work.

He could also consider finding a good Devil Fruit for her to eat. Sure, they came with drawbacks, but the power they provided was incredible.

“Are we going to the Baratie Sea Restaurant?”

Hancock asked Shin.

Shin nodded. He'd already asked Nami and confirmed that Luffy had set sail. She and Luffy had even met—he'd invited her to join his crew, but she'd turned him down.

Shin had no idea if Luffy had reached the Baratie yet, but it didn't really matter. He wasn't going there to find Luffy anyway.

His main goal was to try the food. How could he pass up eating at such a famous restaurant? With Pluton's speed and knowing exactly where the Baratie was located, the trip was quick.

Before long, they spotted the ship. They sailed slowly toward the floating restaurant, passing several pirate ships anchored nearby.

————

"Head Chef, an incredible ship has arrived. You should come see this!!" a chef came to Zeff and asked him.

“Hmm?”

Zeff glanced at the chef, startling him. Because Zeff's personality was quite irritable, he would hit people.

“A customer is a customer. And if they cause trouble, we’re not afraid to handle it,” Zeff said calmly.

Then Zeff still prepared to take a look. It was good to understand the information. What if it was a pirate who was not easy to provoke?

But after taking a look, Zeff froze. His whole body couldn't support him and he fell to the ground.

"What's wrong with the old geezer?" Sanji glanced at Zeff. 'I thought he was tough as nails. Why'd he suddenly fall over?'

"Impossible... Why would someone like that be in a backwater like the East Blue?" Zeff looked at the Kuja Pirates' flag.

Not all East Blue people didn't know about the Kuja Pirates, and Zeff knew about them. He still often paid attention to the newspapers.

The Kuja Pirates—now the strongest pirate crew in the world—the captain Shin Uzumaki's strength was even more terrifying than Whitebeard's.

A monster like that was completely out of his league...

Zeff had also sailed in the Grand Line before and returned to the East Blue smoothly after a year. It was precisely because he had been to the Grand Line that he knew how terrifying it was.

And the Grand Line and the New World were completely incomparable. He had never been to the legendary New World, and the Kuja Pirates were the powerhouses of the New World.

"As long as we don’t cross him, he probably won’t bother with us," Zeff said as he stood, casting a glance at Sanji nearby.

“Old man, are you okay?” Sanji asked Zeff with concern. Although he often hit him, Sanji had no ill feelings towards him.

BAAAAM!!!

The question was answered with a swift kick to the head. Zeff's prosthetic leg slammed into Sanji, knocking him out cold. As darkness took him, Sanji's last thought was a confused one: What the hell was that for?

<><><><><><><><>

Looking at the unconscious Sanji, the chefs on the ship felt a little sympathetic. Even the customers looked at him with sympathy.

"Lock Sanji up," Zeff ordered.

Although they didn't know why, Zeff's order was everything. Since he said to lock him up, of course they would.

"Don't blame me. I'm doing this for your own good, so you don't get into any trouble," Zeff said calmly.

He knew Sanji's weakness very well.

The moment a beautiful woman appeared, the boy turned into a fawning idiot. The Kuja Pirates were almost entirely female, and their vice-captain, Hancock, was hailed as the most beautiful woman in the world.

Zeff knocked him unconscious as a precaution—better safe than sorry if Sanji's hormones triggered a war they couldn't win.

————

Zeff even kept his famous temper in check and had specifically ordered his crew to clear out all the customers from the restaurant. Kicking them out one by one until the restaurant was empty.

Soon, when the Kuja Pirates' Pluton arrived, there was not a single customer in the restaurant.

“Sigh, I hope it’s not a disaster.” Zeff sighed. If something went wrong, the entire sea restaurant might not be able to be saved.

He was more experienced and understood just how terrifying those powerhouses could be. The Grand Line was full of monsters who could obliterate a ship without breaking a sweat. And they were absolutely no match for the legendary pirates of the New World.

The chefs on the ship didn't understand why their head chef was being so careful, but they all got serious fast.

They knew exactly what kind of man Zeff was—if even he was playing it safe, this had to be someone incredibly dangerous, the type you absolutely did not want to piss off.

So they just focused on doing their jobs perfectly.

"Respected guests, welcome," Zeff said, his heart pounding as he greeted Shin with a respectful bow.

Shin stepped into the sea restaurant and couldn't help but smile slightly. If he didn't know who Zeff really was, he might've thought the man was actually pleasant.

Having read the original story, Shin knew better—Zeff had a terrible temper. Back in his pirate days, he'd been cold and ruthless. Even after mellowing out somewhat, he was still quick to anger.

Sanji caught beatings from him on a regular basis for all sorts of reasons.

————

"We'll have a few of your best dishes," Shin said to Zeff.

This time, he had brought the entire Kuja Pirates. Fortunately, this restaurant was big enough to accommodate them.

“Please wait a moment.” Zeff tried his best to maintain his composure.

“It seems this one knows who we are. Not everyone in the East Blue is completely ignorant.” Hancock said.

“I wonder how the dishes here are.” Shin was very picky.

Soon, a stream of fragrant, colorful dishes filled the table. They looked and smelled irresistible.

"Not bad. This is sea beast meat, right?" Shin examined the roasted meat, and after taking a bite, he had to admit it lived up to its reputation. But where was Sanji? Had Luffy already been here and recruited him into the Straw Hat Pirates?

Just then, a loud voice boomed from the entrance. "Hey, old man, got any meat? I'm starving!"

Behind the boisterous young man stood a figure with green algae hair.

Shin glanced over there. Luffy, Zoro, and Usopp, the three of them appeared here at this time.

“We’re not doing business today.” Zeff came out and said calmly after seeing Luffy and Zoro.

“What? But why?” Luffy’s excited expression vanished.

Suddenly, his eyes lit up again. “Hey, Nami! You’re here!”

He spotted her and immediately started running toward their table, completely ignoring Zeff.

However, before he could run over, he was met with a kick. Zeff kicked him away.

Seeing Zeff suddenly act, Zoro immediately drew his sword and looked at him with vigilance. As for Usopp, he was too scared to move.

"Don't disturb my guests," Zeff said calmly, though his voice carried a menacing edge that made even Zoro uneasy.

Don't underestimate Zeff—the old man was still incredibly strong. He'd been a legendary pirate in the East Blue back in his day.

Luffy, who got sent flying, was actually fine. Being a rubber man meant blunt force attacks barely fazed him. A kick like that was nothing.

But getting launched across the room still pissed him off. Why the hell did this old geezer attack him out of nowhere?

“So it’s you.” Nami recognized Luffy.

“If you’re trying to invite me to your crew, forget it. I’m already with the Kuja Pirates,” Nami told Luffy. He had asked her once before, but she despised pirates and refused outright.

Now that she was part of the Kuja Pirates, she had no intention of joining the Straw Hats. Besides, she had little faith in Luffy.

From what she’d seen, he was just a fool. The thought of someone like him leading a crew was downright unsettling.

“What, you’ve already joined another pirate crew?” Luffy heard this and immediately showed a disappointed look.

“Wait, is this them? Why are they all women?” Luffy pointed at Hancock and the others with confusion.

“You little brat, are you trying to get us all killed.”

Zeff was so angry.

He wanted nothing more than to march into the kitchen, grab a cleaver, and end this kid’s life before he could cause any more trouble.

"Luffy, right? Does Garp know you've set sail?"

Shin felt no hostility toward Luffy. After all, who could hold a grudge against someone so simple-minded??

“Hey, you know my grandpa?” Luffy asked, surprised.

Zeff was stunned. He had assumed the boy was just a rookie, but clearly, he was no ordinary rookie. Garp’s grandson? The Marine Hero Garp?

"Wait, your grandfather is Garp?" Zoro and Usopp were absolutely floored.

They never expected their captain to have a Marine for a grandfather. How screwed up was that? A Marine grandfather, and the kid runs off to become a pirate.

And not just any Marine either—Garp the Hero, a living legend.

"Yeah, that's him." Luffy looked at the shocked Zoro and said.
