Added 2018-03-19 22:51:31 +0000 UTCso i turned off some shadow and highlight layers to start working on giving her flat colors some form. i am trying to be very deliberate in my brush strokes and telling myself to not be afraid of redoing a part if it really needs it

She looks like a very nice red(head) panda! π - I see nothing wrong in this picture. Even if in the past i've complained about blurred background, this looks just out of focus since the leaves beside her are in focus. - The flat colors work very well with the weird shading that's only on parts of her. It gives her a look like one of those old "painted over black and white pictures" which is quite appropriate for a martial artist. It evokes vibes of the past and honouring tradition. - I'd just touch up a bit the pole she's standing on and then call it complete, unless you really want to work a lot on this picture, but it as it has already the right vibe. In the end: You're the artist, you decide. But this already looks very good. π
