I just like to share with you this little video i made for a Fluffy friend.
Explanation:
I am experimenting with making animations more dynamic, so i changed the way the Ribcage and Head moves.
In all my earlier games it just "aimed" at the look at target so every Spine and Neck bone rotated to some degree at the Look at Target.
Now i create a virtual new bone that aimes at the look at target, and a inverse kinematic (IK) that forms a "Real" virtual spine and Neck.
This allows the Ribcage and Neck to not only rotate, but also Move.
The result is that the character movement is smoother, and gives you a better feeling for the mass of the character.
This will now always generate this kind of additional movement, even in cuddle events.
About that kitty:
At the moment the eyes are wip and also the wiskers are missing, wanna finish that today and then do a nice video more cuddly video.
It is the Lion model, with a basic white texture for better debugging.
