Raven and the Lilly plot synopsis prt 1

so here is a VERY rough draft of the first part of Raven and the lilly comic.  i am trying to be more organized with my comics instead of just running head long into a wall.  hope you enjoy

Raven and the Lilly 

a small boat called the chubby duck is tossed around in a vicious sea storm, kraken like tentacles envelop the ship, trying to rend it asunder.

on the deck a lone pasty face, scrawny man brandishes a walking stick like a wizards staff, blue lightning erupting from its tip as he fights off the tentacles. dozens for tentacles rush at him, in response he holds his stick aloft and lets loose a mighty storm of blue fire, blasting the tentacles away and engulfing everything in mafic flame.

a brief respite allows the man to compose himself before a massive figure erupts from the depths and across the port side of the ship. now towering above the man, a mountainous sea god, resembling a lazy lovecraftian concept design glowers down and the little human man. its massive face contorted into a contemptuous glare.

the human looks back up to the sea god and give it a pleasant smile, he takes off his hat and bows low with a Victorian flair. "greeting your godliness" he says "My Name is Mycroft Raven, please forgive this rather rude first impression, but I did not know that these appendages belonged to your holiness. though I must say you approach did not make me feel the most welcomed of guests in these waters."

Mycroft looks up at the god, the being's face contorts further into a fearsome scowl.

Mycroft, non-pulsed reaches into his "magic murder bag" while continuing, "but I am glad you have chosen to meet with me..." he pulls out a rolled up parchment. " I have hear a contract of non aggression and trade, that my employers wish to propose to you. “ the god continues to look darkly down at Mycroft.
Mycroft continues “you see, oh elevated one, my employers represent a large coalition of shipping companies who very much want to have these sea lanes open for trade with other countries across the ocean. And it seems that you have taken umbrage with any attempt to cross such waters. Sinking many fleets with your mighty storms.” My croft holds out the contract towards the sea god “ if you would be so benevolent as to review my employers offer…”
“SILENCE PRAWN!!!”
the sea god erupts, thrusting out a clawed hand in an imperious gesture of denial, his mass of kraken tentacles trashing the ocean into a foam.
“You dare entreat with me as though I were some mortal mud hut chief!? I am Dagathon! Lord of the inky depths! Master of the a Dark currants and I hold dominion over everything that exists above or below the blue waves!”
Dagathon points a gnarled clawed finger at Mycroft, who pleasantly smiles back.
“You Dirt mortals are not welcome anywhere Near my domain!” Dagathon rasies a fist high into the air “ here is my reply to your ‘employers’ offering”
Dagathon brings his massive fist down onto Mycroft. Mycroft reacts with a split second, brandishing his walking stick in a defensive gesture. A transparent blue field engulfs Mycroft and stops Dagathons fist dead.
mycoft smiles smugly at Dagathon, who looks genuinely shocked. “ I take that as a rejection of our proposal?” Mycroft sniggers out
