deep in the feels it goes~ hope the speaker meanwhile received some clarity~ coming to the question....as someone who knows this inner conflict of the speaker as well...i'd probably tell her to give me some time to process this and let me sort my feelings for a bit more, so that she at least knows i received and heard the message itself...and after that - if there are no romantic feelings on my end that i'd still try to keep her as a good friend like before if she can handle it, as the fact that i like her generally as a person doesn't change due to this - if romantic feelings can be felt it would be either > give it a try if i'd feel ready for something new already > if i don't feel ready yet for something new, tell her that but that we could try once i'm ready
