Next Big Video is Coming Soon

Hi everyone,

Have been making lots of progress on video about the gendered division of labour in foraging societies. I went down a rabbit hole and realised that a major database used in the field is full of errors and seriously underrepresents women's involvement in hunting. So I'm now fact checking its claims about 35 societies. This means the video will take longer to finish but will actually be a useful contribution to the field, rather than just a literature review.

Since this will take a while to complete, I decided to look through my abandoned book drafts and extract a video from them. I've written 10,000 words debunking myths about historical anarchism and democracy. Is a follow up to my previous video on the topic and adds a lot of new evidence and arguments. Just need to finish the conclusion, fact check everything, and record. I aim to release the video at the end of October.

I've also been making slow but steady progress on the trans book, which will weave together the history of gender with my own theorizing about it. I'm taking a global approach to the topic and so am currently investigating cross-dressing in both Edo period Japan and 16th century England.
