Upgrading...

At first, I will post tomorrow some images of the animation process of the Mother and the Player. It's gonna be dull Maya screenshots, but gives you the insight what's coming :)

The reason for this post is my machine upgrade, which you guys made possible! My current laptop has serious problems with the keyboard, as I set the letter repetition speed as low as I can. I still have TONS of double letters, and the coding is REALLY painful.

For a long time I was looking for a replacement laptop, but thee price was just insane. I wanted the Titan GT77, but the price, almost 7000 euros was just too much.

I found this one company selling returned item for 4200 euros. Now, when the Black Friday is on, the price dropped to 3850 euros. I went for it.

I got the laptop and figured why it was returned; the Windows 11 installation failed at the network stage. I almost gave up, but Googled a bit; you can bypasss it with some steps. Did that, and blimey, it worked! I got it up and running! After that stage it was just matter of setting up the drivers! Also, this unit was sold with 2 TB of M.2, but then I got to windows, it had another 2 TB not initialized! So total of 4 TB, and as it is a Black Friday, I found a local store selling 4 TB M.2 for 280 euros. Ordered, so I will have 8 TB of storage in total!

So, currently, I'm still using my old GT76, and it's gonna take weeks to transfer everything. That's gonna be my night time fun. I've bought zillion software, plugins and getting everything sorted just takes time.

But it's gonna be freaking cool to test the new laptop in VR when it's all done! GTX4090 and Intel i9-13980HX!

I usually feel like Donald Duck; really unlucky. But this time, I'm SO happy, and the guys to thank is you!
