My 2020 Plan
Added 2020-01-01 16:18:41 +0000 UTCHey everyone,
Alright, so I know this is a bit out of nowhere but I need to air out some stuff that's been on my mind, and where I want to steer my creative energy for the new year.
First off- HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope you all had a fun and safe holidays.
Secondly,
After the Worlds video, something was brought to my attention- Jimbly and Nexialist both responded and it's safe to say they aren't happy about the video. That's not on them. It's a problem that starts with me.
In 2019, I began making videos honing in on specific people. At the beginning of the year, this was fine. I was much, much smaller than I am now and it didn't have quite the impact on people that it does today. I've recently hit one million subscribers (AAAAA), however, with this comes a level of responsibility I haven't adapted to yet. I'm quickly coming to realize that the videos focusing on individuals affects their lives, and not always in a good way, and that doesn't sit right with me- at all. I'm ready to make some changes, and part of that involves steering away from videos of that style and structure.
This year, I'm taking responsibility and I'm going to spread out my uploads a bit more to give me time to find and neutrally cover various mysteries, both online and off, in a more "documentary"-like format. Some of these may not be "creepy", per se, but the reality of my situation is that not everything in the world really is. I want to make videos, and I want to make them over topics that don't affect people negatively.
Thirdly,
Many of you are unaware, but I still work a full-time job. This year, I plan on quitting in April/May-ish, and with that I plan to rebrand Nexlife once more into a standalone channel simply titled "Nex". With my newfound time, I plan to create both real-life videos and documentaries covering my favorite games, TV shows, movies, etc (along with Cringe Kitchen). I know it's an extremely flooded genre, but it's what I want to do on the side of Nexpo so I can keep my creative energy balanced.
I know this is a lot, but I wanted to clear the air on how I'm feeling, where I'm going, and what's going on with me behind the scenes. We'll see how it goes. I'm ready for a fresh year with a new direction.
Happy 2020 everyone.
- Ryan

2020-01-02 05:29:45 +0000 UTCHappy 2020! I've been a big enough fan for about a year and I love your videos. It's upsetting that people have to take your work and turn it into something negative, but it's exciting to see you exploring new topics and growing beyond "creepy" stuff. Here's to an awesome year, creepy and otherwise!

2020-01-01 19:13:57 +0000 UTCHonestly you are doing a brand of journalism. I guess you could have tried to get in contact with them for comment, but really in the end you are just doing a video on the information at hand. Them being mad shouldn't really be a big problem (other then i guess they could try and have your video brought down....ugh youtube), but that is just my opinion.

2020-01-01 17:03:03 +0000 UTCHappy new 2020, Ryan! It's strange how people come out of the woods after hiding for years - "just" (no offence!!) because of a video that's mainly focused on entertaining viewers. Anyway, please continue your good work. We're always looking forward to your videos!
