Greetings Programs!
The page is now starting to come together.
Spent most of the time cleaning up the group in panel 2. Separating them, and getting each figure to scale correctly. Sometimes I'll draw a part of the body, then realize the head is too big for the body, and I'd adjust it with the scale tool. Its usually a lot of pushing and pulling to make the characters fit and work well together.
Especially when they are in weird positions.
As the clean up progressed, I started adding color to the fill layers, giving them skin and hair tones.
I was at a point to where I could take the entire group of layers of the party goers, flatten it, the lock it off and make it black. Basically turning that layer into a filter. Then I reduced the opacity to 70 percent.
This gives me a good middle base for the lighting. The next part is erasing where I want the highlights at.
Now this is just for general overall shadow. The highlight tones will be done on top.
I've also added a layer to the middle panel for the fluids (I can't say the C word here), and seeing how that is looking with the overall scene.
One last thing I'm experimenting with is new light patterns for the BG. Since the tone of the comic is shifting, I feel the light patterns and colors should shift. Giving the interior of the house a wild, otherworldly feel. As if this whole scene is turning into a weird sexy day dream. At least that's what I'm trying to capture.
Anyway, getting close to the end on this page.
More to come.
