THE CLONE WARS #40: 2x12 (The Mandalore Plot) Reaction

Comments

They wrote all the characters really well and I love the subtle hints they have laced througout the series.

I really love how well they wrote Anakin's character in this series. He's very loving and protective but at the end of the day he's not playing games and will do what needs to get done, whether or not it might be approved by the council. It makes everything that happens to him after so much more believable and heartbreaking.

Yeah this is where the show takes it to a whole new level. Also keep in mind this story arc, which is one of the best of the series, is what gave birth to Filoni and Favreau's collaboration that led to the Mandalorian series. Jon Favreau was a fan of the show and Filoni and wanted to be a part of it and he voiced Pre Vizsla and became friends with Filoni. THIS is where all that began. Then Favreau having the clout from Ironman was able to really get things in motion with Disney. The story arc right here is one of my personal favorites. (Also of course Favreau voices Paz Vizsla in The Mandalorian as well. Pre Vizsla's descendant)

The clones were all cloned from Jango Fett, with age acceleration, to make them grow up faster to make them ready to fight in war. But Jango also had a clone made without age acceleration, to be more of a son to him that is Boba Fett. So technically, the clones are all brothers of Boba Fett and sons of Jango Fett.

Kid’s show, right? In all fairness Anakin only did Poggle like that because he was trying to save Asoka. He’s rough with people but he ain’t choking out every person. He ain’t Vader yet. The next 6 episodes are really good.

Jango Fett was a bounty hunter who was the blueprint for the clones btw. Also I agree with Mythic Elf. From this point on its no more playing around and everything get increasingly more complex and interesting. Looking forward to the reactions 😊

Yeah, since you saw the Darksaber appear in this episode, now would be a good time to mention that the Children of the Watch (the tribe of Mandalorians from “The Mandalorian” that Din Djarin was rescued and raised by) grew out of the remnants of the Death Watch.

ALRIGHT NOW THIS IS THE POINT FROM NOW ON, SHIT GETS REAL
