Kind of surprised Dean is so blase about killing someone who had no idea they were sick. This episode's core concept is amazing, but the way that gut punch reveal got brushed over really misses the mark for me. Not to mention how both the "missionary targets sex workers he sees as disposable/threats" and the "assistant gets sexually harassed 'every day that ends in y' by her boss" parts of the story are never taken seriously. Madison's actress knocked it out of the park, though!

Dean raising his fist as he walks out! 💀 Sam is the real life Mr Flanders , Mr Nice Guy who’s just shredded like a mf! Lmao The ending of this episode is one of the saddest moments in this show. Sam crying for what he has to do and Dean crying seeing his little brother in pain. 😭

2026-01-05 04:51:12 +0000 UTCI still cry when I hear ‘Silent Lucidity’ play. It’s a beautiful episode in ALL the ways (and I’m NOT a “Sam-girl” normally). Fandom lore is that Jared had to think about putting his beloved dog down to get into the head space for that final scene with Jensen. Jensen’s tear wasn’t scripted, he just got so upset over watching Jared be so emotional that the OPT (one perfect tear) was released. You’ll come to appreciate that Jensen is one of the prettiest criers you’ll ever see.
