Ara has been through a rough deployment. A week of solid fighting and airstrikes and she's out of food. If you think tanks and jets are gas guzzlers, just wait until you see what it takes to keep a battle ready dragoness gassed up. Luckily she uses a very... renewable energy source.
In the heat of battle, its not uncommon for her to grab and gulp enemy combatants. It's not exactly SOP but who's going to stop her?
Just imagine what it must be like, hiding in a bunker or in a trench in cover from drones and airstrikes when you hear a familiar voice on your radio, a fellow soldier gagging and sputtering for desperate help knowing he wont get any as he's drowning and slowly digesting in dragon chyme. The psychological effect that would have on the battlefield would demoralize any enemy.
When you feel that earthshattering thud resonate through your foxhole, to your horror you see that Ara is back and looking for more "fuel". She pins you down and strips off your equipment. no cheeky grenades or firearms to bring with you... again you hear the desperate cries on your radio... there are people inside of her digesting right now. You'll be joining them soon.
