Over the past year or so I have ended up shooting a lot with the same relatively small handful of models. I know some of those models are very popular with my subscribers, but I have also had a few messages asking for a little more variety. I have been shooting models since autumn 2018 so I have a decent sized back catalogue of images to dip into, and due to a request I had recently I thought I would start with images from a shoot I did with the fabulous Natascha.
These were shot about two years ago. I had recently purchased a bi-colour continuous LED light from Aputure Lighting, and was experimenting with it. I really liked the warmest setting at the time, and also found it to be a useful tool when shooting with dancers. I think I have mentioned this before, but I would pop on some music and the dancer/model would move to it, and I would shoot on continuous drive mode. It made for a lot of poorly composed to out of focus shots, but also brought more dynamism into the shoot. The images above are a mix of posed shots and shots where Natascha was moving to the music.
I also have some lovely shots of Natascha in my black and white style, and I will post them on here at some point. Sadly I have not had another shoot with Natascha since - we have had a few booked in since that first once but for various reasons they all got cancelled. If you follow Natascha on Instagram then you will know that she is struggling with her mental health, so another shot is still not looking likely for the foreseeable future.
