2023-06-29 18:48:03 +0000 UTCThe Blues Brothers is another one of those overdue classics/cult-classics. The Storm Akima voting majority is a peculiar bunch; for modern trendy movies they're pretty much in 100% agreement with the majority of audiences of ALL the other major reaction channels, but when it comes to nostalgic popular movies they start to stray away from "the pack" by quite a bit. I'm not sure why that is, but when it comes to older popular movies the voting pool here tends to 1) not be in any rush to have them win polls and 2) be more restricted in their nostalgic tastes. I've said it before, but since it's still relevant I'll say it again, Storm Akima is one of the very small and few reaction channels to be way behind and backlogged with older classic and cult-classic reactions they still haven't done that most other major channels covered within their first 2 years of existence. It's also the only reaction channel that'll break the "watch the originals before the parodies" rule that most reaction channels follow, simply because the voting pool here really like those 2000s parody movies without actually caring much for the original movies they're parodying.

2023-06-26 16:31:04 +0000 UTCOh man. I know no one is going to vote for Blues Brothers and Kubo and the Two Strings but I really hope they somehow get a reaction in the future. Both movies are amazing and Iโve been trying to get these on the polls for years now.
