As you saw at the end, Skyfall's release was the 50 year celebration of EON productions making Bond movies. It was the 23rd film overall and the 3rd in the rebooted continuity starring Daniel Craig. It was a very eventfull film, and reintroduced elements that at been absent from the previous Craig films. Mainly new iterations of gadget master Q and Miss Moneypenny. It also featured a passing of the torch, with the death of Judi Dench's M the role of M is now taken by (Lord Voldemort himself) Ralph Fiennes's Gareth Mallory. I understand how wrong it might feel to just see someone else be called M after being used to having it refer to Judi Dench's wonderful character. However, in the world of Bond, M is a codename that refers to the Head of MI6. Just like Bond's codename is 007, his boss is always called M. Similarly, Q is also a codename that means Quartermaster and indicates being in charge of Q branch, the sector of MI6 that deals with gadgets, weapons and all kinds of technology. I want to add that Mallory and the current Q (with spots) are new characters created for Skyfall to become the new M and Q and are not direct adaptations of the characters from the classic films unlike Miss Moneypenny who was in the older films. Finally, Judi Dench's M isn't named "Emma". Kincaid heard Bond call her "M", but he understood it as "Em" (short for Emma). Fans zoomed in on the box she bequeathed to Bond and this revealed her real name to be "Olivia Mansfield" (still as an m in there). Very happy you've enjoyed the film and hope people vote for you to watch 2015's Spectre soon!

We need to catch up on Movie Poll Winners first, then we'll try to make time for Venom in the near future! Hopefully, Venom will win the next Live Action Poll, but we'll see! Any word on when Spider-Man No Way Home will be available for streaming? We hope to watch Venom before that! :)
