I agree more with Shane on this one for the search for Sophia. In beginning, yes absolutely search for her. But as the search continues the chances of finding her alive continues to decline and in this world the chances are even more slim. So, after 4-5 days, yeah they should call off the search for the betterment of the group since we already have 1 of our own (Daryl) injured from searching for Sophia

2021-12-21 22:53:08 +0000 UTCWhen Daryl put the walker ear necklace on, that would not protect him from other walkers. He made the necklace as a trophy. When Rick, Shane, Glenn, and T-dog first got to Daryl, they couldn't tell if he was a walker, that is why Daryl made the comment "that's the third time you pointed that thing (ricks gun) at my head. You gonna pull the trigger or what?" Had he not spoken they might have shot him. Also Andrea got a headshot (grazed him) from over 100 yards while the sun was in her eyes. My favourite characters that are not huge and big characters are Dale and T-dog. Dale is a nice and smart guy. T-dog despite his injury is looking for Sophia and put the most effort into getting Glenn out of the well. I can also see Shane's point of view on abandoning the search. I think they should keep looking, but it is unlikely that they will find Sophia unharmed in this world. They should start preparing for the worst. But like Daryl said last episode (paraphrased) "I got nothing better to do." Also Ed is/was an jerk, but he is not entirely wrong, if Carol tells everyone they have food, then people might try to take it. But I think they could spare one box for Carl.
