Fury road is just a long dirt chase IMHO, thoroughly underwhelming. Mad Max is a secondary character anyway, it should be called Furiosa road.

1st) "Matilda" (1996) which is based off the Road Dahl book. Amazing movie, and one that you'll enjoy every time you watch it (even if you've seen it numerous times in that same day). Highly HIGHLY recommend. 2nd) "Inherit the Wind" (1960) - has Spencer Tracy, Frederick March, and Gene Kelly in it. It's based off the play which itself took inspiration from the famous trial on Darwin's Theory of Evolution and legality of teaching it in schools. It's a fantastic film that always is relevant, regardless of the decades or shifted/shifting societal views. And deftly navigates the different views & issues - danger of putting too much value on something or/and putting people on pedastels. As well as the problematic aspects of cynicism and willingness to portray someone as being only their worst/negative aspects. 3 & 4) "Captain Blood" (1935) and "Adventures of Robin Hood" (1938) -- both star Errol Flynn, Basil Rathbone, and Olivia DeHavilland. I can't describe them, b/c I feel like I'd end up 'spoiling' (spoiler-ing) it, instead of letting you have those honest 1st-time reactions. These last two are slightly different, and though separate films, I group them as 1 request as my grandpa had them on VHS as only "kid-friendly" films. So we'd always watch them together. Thus: 5a) "The Jetsons Movie" (1995-6) is pure fun and has that very sincere 90's outlook on enviromental issues. 5b) This one is called "Cartoon All-Stars To The Rescue" (1990) - this is actually a animated 'short' about 30 minutes long for the Anti-Drug Abuse (very much aimed at kids and teens) Group. It was made to try and help keep kids from using drugs (Although the effects can be over-the-top. Which just makes it more fun). Teach them how to say "NO" to drugs, helped by famous cartoon characters. Also has a theme song with lyrics by the famous Howard Ashman & Alan Menken made the music. I'm actually including the link to this one (cartoon anti-drug) as Youtube has a few 'versions' but they're horrible quality or sound glitches. So this link is to the best version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lwDTB7yVN9I

Unforgiven The Secret Life of Walter Mitty The Incredible Hulk (2008) - You guys STILL haven't seen that MCU movie yet, right? Or am I wrong? Donnie Darko TRON

YodatheHobbit

Oh yes, definitely MONEY TALKS, if they want to see more Chris Tucker only more R-rated, possibly his most underrated film in the 1990s. ;D

Remember The Titans (2000) Drumline (2002) Money Talks (1997) The Fast And The Furious (2001) A Bug's Life (1998)

Hacksaw Ridge is a fun WW2 movie based on a true story, think you will like it.

Mad Max: Fury Road - One of the best action films of all time. It's not necessary to have seen the previous Mad Max films to enjoy it. Remember the Titans - A family sports drama based on a true story of the integration of a high school football team starring Denzel Washington. Hacksaw Ridge - Based on the true story of Desmond Doss in World War II. I think you all would like this based on your enjoyment of 1917, Saving Private Ryan, Dunkirk and The Patriot. Panic Room - This is a thriller directed by David Fincher starring Jodie Foster. I think you'd enjoy it based on how you've enjoyed other thrillers like Speed. Fly Away Home - Has absolutely no chance lol. But I genuinely think you'd like it. It stars young Anna Paquin (Rogue from X-Men!) as a girl dealing with a tragic event who finds a flock of abandoned geese. It's just a very sweet family film. You guys react to a lot of dark stuff and action/comic book films. I genuinely enjoy when you get to react to a family film or comedy.

rhaegar

Doctor Sleep might be a fun one, the long awaited sequel to The Shining that follows Danny as an adult with a very different/enhanced version of the ability to shine from the first movie. Arguably more disturbing than the first and includes some controversial scenes in terms of recasting characters for flashbacks. Still a very entertaining movie!

Janitor

GODZILLA vs KONG!!!!! It just came out last week! The fight of the century! Like this comment if you agree so we can get them to watch it!

Halloween 2007 or 2018 or any of them

George of the Jungle; I used to watch that movie so many times when I was a kid, and I say many times I mean like several times a day on repeat, one of the funniest and funnest movies of my childhood. I haven't seen it in like 15+ years, t'would be a real treat If Dawn and co where to watch it together with us.

Atreyu Auryn

Last Action Hero is the most underrated movie of all time. It's Arnold at his peak. Love it.

I've also thought about giving brief descriptions for every request but not sure if they actually all get read. I think perhaps providing the category of the movie and the top two main actors can be enough to draw interest. I'm sure Clue will be a reaction at some point because it's been popular on several other channels.

Justin S.

I love Prince of Egypt, it's probably my favorite animation. Sister act is really funny.

I always provide brief descriptions in the hopes it'll pique the ladies' interests enough to make them WANT to watch my suggestions (because Lord knows these titles aren’t winning any polls). I also think it provides a richer experience to have a little context before watching movies. (Though I’ve a sneaking suspicion this extra effort is all for naught.) GATTACA (1997): A thoughtful sci-fi movie with Ethan Hawk, Uma Thurman and Jude Law. The main draw is the understated pacing, noir aesthetic and hauntingly beautiful score. It’s one of those “in the near future” movies about a society built on genetic perfection. 10 CLOVERFIELD LANE (2016): I always add the caveat that this is NOT directly related to the cult fav movie simply titled “Cloverfield.” I actually believe that “Lane” is better viewed *without* seeing that other movie first, so that you can better accept Lane’s story on its own. This is a thriller about a young woman (Mary Elizabeth Winstead who you saw in “Scott Pilgrim”) who gets in a car accident and wakes up captive in a basement. A very grizzled John Goodman claims that he saved her life and is keeping her their out of the goodness of his heart. CLUE (1985): I see others have also requested this. A clever throwback to screwball comedies. It’s based on the famous board game, and it’s a miracle it works so well. Even if you don’t fully get on board with the movie’s unique tone, you can still admire its snappy script and talented cast.
