Die Hard | FULL AKIMA Reactions

Comments

My all-time favorite action thriller out there along the likes of LETHAL WEAPON, HOT FUZZ, and even LAST ACTION HERO. Now they definitely need to check out LW and LAH as well; LW is the definitive Buddy Cop movie, and LAH is a criminally underrated action satire, and perfectly shows how talented Arnold S. really is at comedy. ;D

George Bean

@Justin S. Cliffhanger is awesome

Anakin Starkiller

Die Hard 2 is fun , Die Hard With A Vengeance is definitely an action comedy, Live Free or Die Hard is absolutely insane and more Die Hard on steroids, A Good Day To Die Hard ah let's just say it's pretty forgettable but it has a Russian setting to it.

Anakin Starkiller

Yeah, this is the role that made Bruce Willis a star for sure. He was actually a bartender in Wildwood, NJ before he became famous in the 80s. Although McClain is his most popular role, I would say Bruce Willis gave his best acting performances in 12 Monkeys, The Sixth Sense, and Unbreakable. Alan Rickman worked in Graphic Design before going into acting and turned out that he was a natural. His performance in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves was also a quintessential role for him but not as popular as Hans Gruber.

Justin S.

Yeah, he was awesome and actually was a graphic designer before he got into acting which is quite the change. He gives another good performance as the villain in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves.

Justin S.

Definitely an action movie classic and helped inspire several other action movies that followed. Glad you guys enjoyed it. Die Hard 2 also takes place around Christmas and it's also a very good picture. Here are some other action movies that are similar to Die Hard that I think the Storm Crew will also enjoy: Under Siege (1992)- One of the few Steven Seagal movies that is actually very good and entertaining. Tommy Lee Jones steals every scene that he is in. Cliffhanger (1993)- This might be my favorite action picture starring Sylvester Stallone and has some excellent cinematography and stuntwork. Sudden Death (1995)- An entertaining action picture starring Jean Claude Van-Damne as a fireman trying to save his kids/people from bad guys at a hockey arena during the Stanley Cup. Air Force One (1997)- A well received and highly entertaining action picture with Harrison Ford as President of the United States and the only hope at stopping terrorists who hijack his plane. Con Air (1997)- An enjoyable action picture with Nicolas Cage as a parolee trapped on board of a prison airplane that is hijacked by criminals led by John Malkovich.

Justin S.

It's kind of weird to think that when Die Hard came out, Bruce Willis wasn't considered a movie star, let alone an action movie star. Up until then he was best known as the smart aleck from TV's "Moonlighting" and the silly comedy "Blind Date." Similarly crazy is that this was literally Alan Rickman's first movie role ever. He was 41, and had apparently been hiding in plain sight (theater and TV work) up until then. Obviously, Hans Gruber is iconic. And I think for many people, this was *the* quintessential Rickman role (at least until Severus Snape).

Die Hard is definitely a christmas movie.

Opti_Frog

I miss Alan Rickman SO much! ๐Ÿ˜ข He was one of my favorite actors. He absolutely embodied the whole of Severus Snape in the Harry Potter movies, and was just an incredibly talented actor, as well as kind person, in general. I also had such a crush on him, and Die Hard was what made me fall in love with him. He looks like a GQ model in this movie. ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜

Best Christmas movie ever. it has become part of the Christmas movie tradition

Les Reece

This movie never gets old. I still get excited even though I know what's going to happen lol.

Desmond King Descepticon

Little trivia. When Alan Rickman fell off the roof they told him they'd let him go at the count of three. But they dropped him at two instead of three, so the shocked face was real. Rickman was pretty pissed afterwards. ๐Ÿ˜‚

RX2904

The greatest Christmas movie of all time. LOL

RX2904

"C'mon, do your cop stuff!", "I hope his hair gets in his way"....best comments ever! ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ I love your reactions! ๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

Stephanie

WOW one of my fav movies ever NICE

Tserriednich

I like this style of thumbnail. 3 diff layers with you 3 in the middle looks cool. Great job, Dawn!

Carlos Hurtado

For his first ever movie, Alan Rickman knocked it out of the park with one of the most iconic movie villains of all time.

Adam Grunther

I consider this one a holiday classic and I am so happy you guys watched and enjoyed the movie! Another Christmas based action movie is Lethal Weapon! I truly hope you guys see Scrooged starring Bill Murray. I also watch this one every Christmas holiday season! So enjoyable seeing Die Hard with you guys!

Philthemovieguy

Canโ€™t wait to watch it again with youse And the thumbnail is lit

Sohail Jafar

My favorite action movie out there along the likes of Lethal Weapon and Last Action Hero. And yes, I strongly consider it to be a Christmas movie. ;D The third film is also my second favorite in the series.

George Bean

Still my fav action movie ever. The second one is enjoyable as a fun popcorn action movie but hard to take seriously. The third one is a big improvement as John Mctiernan comes back to direct.

James

Best Christmas movie! The sequels fall off the rails but this one is the best one!
