MOVIE POLL- VOTE and REQUEST! :D

Hi all and welcome back! Time for another POLL!

Thank you for all your requests, your support and being patient! We are reacting to a lot every week now thanks to you! Please stay positive since we try our best to please all of you! We want to keep this fun for us too :)

Requests that didn't make it in are probably on our LIST, but feel free to request again to bump them back to the top! I do keep track of all requests! Or try my best too :) Please don't get discouraged if your request isn't super popular.. we do randomly select one almost every week to give every request a fighting chance :)

Some of you asked me to have multiple choice instead of just one, so we'll try that this week!

Any trolling, do not engage. Let me know and I'll handle it. That person will be banned and then their VOTES will disappear. We want to keep this fair and fun.

Please give us a week or so so watch what WINS, edit and upload. :)

Thank you everyone for supporting us!

Comments

i love this movie! :)

Michaela Talley

please watch ‘ The perks of being a wallflower’ :)

jamie

Cloverfield would be good. I wish you guys watch more well made thriller movies

Wayne

I really want a break from blockbuster popular films, and movies like The Social Network, There Will Be Blood, Reservoir Dogs (Tarantino's first film), Good Will Hunting. Also please choose Dunkirk, I think it is amazing and so underrated

Pinhead Larry

Knives Out would be fantastic! So excited that you guys might watch it!

Falink523

Yes! The original! Sorry I didn't clarify that! Never saw any of the movies, but what else is new?! LOL!

Storm Akima

OMG, I almost put that on the list because Mom and Kim were asking to rewatch it too!!!

Storm Akima

I think a Black Panther rewatch would be great in honor of Chadwick Boseman.

bohoobobo

I hope you mean the original Karate Kid. The remake is not that good in my opinion.

Stephanie

Knives Out is the most boring movie ever

Terminator Genisys or Dark Fate would be cool to react to next 😀

TheVenerate

Yes! I agree they should react to the 2018 sequel after. Especially since there are two other movies being released in a new trilogy

Gotta do Ghostbusters 2 as well since they watch 1 last year!

YodatheHobbit

You guys would love Ready or Not and A Star Is Born! xx

Mitsy

Oh! I just realized October is fast approaching and Halloween is one of my favorite holidays! Gotta make some quick Halloween requests to add to my previous list: Interview with The Vampire 1994 The Craft 1996 (this is the movie that inspired the Charmed TV show that several people requested) The Exorcist III 1990 (It's the sequel to the original Exorcist - it ignores Exorcist II The Heretic because the original author William Blatty had nothing to do with it - but I think it works well enough as a stand alone movie and it's not as graphic and gruesome as the original Exorcist, so I thought this would be the best one to suggest to you guys. In fact most of the gory, awful stuff is mostly implied, kept off camera and left to your imagination which in some ways can be worse for some lol. I also think that between the original and Exorcist III, the latter's probably aged better for modern audiences. ) Session 9 - 2001 The Lost Boys 1987 Scream 1996 Friday The 13th, Part 6 - 1986 (I know, what you're thinking lol, but this one is SO not like the others, honest! This one actually feels like a real movie, with genuinely fun and funny writing and fun characters you actually care about. It's also actually the first meta-horror movie! Kevin Williamson, the guy who wrote Scream actually said it was one of his influences. :D) Long shots, but worth suggesting anyway: Carrie 1976 Rabid 1977

My Girl 1991 A League Of Their Own 1992 Benny & Joon 1993 Freaky Friday 2003 The Crow 1994 (my spectacle-y request :p) Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind 2004 (with Jim Carrey & Kate Winslet doing an AMAZING American accent)

Yesss! Such a great movie

Mitsy

Halloween is a MUST this year! It would be so awesome to see the newest Halloween shortly follow as it's the direct sequel to the first movie.

☆C~H~A~N~D~L~E~R☆

they did already.

Armchair Wizard

Can ya'll react to A Star is Born 2018?

Anthony

I see in the list 'Godzilla: King of Monsters'... I you choose to react to it some time in the future I recommend you watch first 'Godzilla' (2014) if you haven't see it yet. Both movies are very entertaining.

Jose 'Nihilus Outis' Morales

All of you are missing out so hard on Cobra Kai show; I really hope The Karate Kid wins.

Erasmo

The 1978 one I believe as that's what I requested last week

Can we have a Halloween movie poll?

Anthony

Wait... which Halloween are you guys talking about in the poll? The original 1978 or the 2007 remake? OR the sequel to the 1978 movie also titled Halloween that was released... 2019? lol

Daniel R

yess I agree with you on Apollo 13

Anne

After seeing the lovely reaction to Forrest Gump, I think you'd enjoy more young Tom Hanks in Apollo 13. I'd absolutely second the enjoyable and often-overlooked Kiss Kiss Bang Bang suggested above. And I'm still a bit disappointed with how badly Hamilton did the one time I saw it in a poll. It's not like anything else you've reacted to, and I hope you'll give that wonderful musical some love. :)

Cloverfield (2008) Iron Giant (1999)

I think that "A Beautiful Mind" , "Black Swan" , "The Social Network" , "Brokeback Mountain" , "Gravity" , "Rush" , "Argo" , "The Town" , "Gone Baby Gone" , "Mystic River" , "Million Dollar Baby" , "Sully" , "The Departed" , "Ordinary People" , "Gangs Of New York" , "There Will Be Blood" , "No Country For Old Men" , and "Gone Girl" are all fantastic movies that should be reacted to.

jonathan Edge

Put in my votes for Apollo 13 and Hellboy, both great movies I have yet to see anyone react to. So hope they make it some day. Would also love to see these as options at some point: The Mask of Zorro (1998) Really fun action/adventure movie Antonio Banderas, Anthony Hopkins and Cathering Zeta-Jones, about the titular robin hood like hero Zorro. Lord of War (2005) Nicolas Cage in one of his best roles as an up and coming arms dealer. Based on a true story. The Bourne Identity (2002) Solid action movie with Matt Damon with some great sequels as well (the first 2 anyway...).

AgentFalcon

Sunshine (2007) Starring: Cillian Murphy (Scarecrow) Chris Evans (Captain America) Rose Byrne (Dorme AKA Padme's Handmadian in Attack of the Clones) Hiroyuki Sanada (Shingen Yashida in The Wolverine)

YodatheHobbit

I'd love you ladies to see "Game Night (2018)" it's a lot of fun! A great comedy. Also glad to see my request from last week made it on the poll (Halloween from 1978)

A lot of people feel that the ladies have to watch J.L. before the remaining DC movies (like Birds of Prey or Aquaman) because J.L. was released before those movies. I personally feel that the remaining DC movies can be watched in any order, since there's no chronological narrative linking them. I would even argue that Justice League might be more satisfying if watched *after* Aquaman, because then watching him team-up with the other characters would resonate more.

WastedPo

I don’t understand all the votes for Justice League lol that film was trash, there are a bunch of much better films on this poll

Charles Davies

My recommendations: Contact, Children of Men, Deep Impact and Nightmare before Christmas (in honour of Halloween lol)

Daryl

OMG yes pls, love Halloween

Brandon Jensen - May the force be with you

They would definitely have a lot of fun with Tremors. It's a throwback to old-fashioned monster movies that's better than one might expect it to be going into it. I recently watched the review that Red Letter Media did on Tremors a few years ago, where they basically said it was executed perfectly. At first it sounds like ludicrously high praise, but then you think about it, and you realize it's true.

WastedPo

Hmm, a lot will be ones I usually recommend but let's see: -Jojo Rabbit -The Big Sick -Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang -Baby Driver -Slither -Super -Stardust -Attack the Block -21 Bridges -The Witch (or 'The VVitch as it is written) -Inside Out

Adam Burt

I'm thankful that "10 Cloverfield Lane" (2016) made the list, as I requested it a couple times. I did want to clarify that "10 Cloverfield Lane" is an entirely separate story from "Cloverfield." Many people obviously like the original "Cloverfield" from 2008. But I didn't want the ladies to be discouraged from watching Lane on its own. The two movies really have nothing to do with one another. This isn't the MCU. I kind of wish that "Lane" was titled differently so people wouldn't get hung up on this. Also, the similarities in the titles make viewers try to second-guess the direction of Lane's story in ways that they wouldn't otherwise.

WastedPo

I can respect your preference of "Cloverfield" over "Lane." But to clarify, it might be a bit misleading to call it a semi-sequel. "Lane" is an entirely unrelated story - something even JJ Abrams emphasized - with the "Cloverfield" only added as an attempt to turn this into an "anthology" movie property.

WastedPo

Multiple votes make the poll a bit more fun I have to admit but I do hope that we can at least try out genre specific polls in the future at some point. If there is only time for one poll a week, the Storm Crew could just pick a category for that week such as Action, Comedy, Drama, Science Fiction, etc. The second movie reaction could be a movie chosen from the current poll or any of the previous polls. Just an idea to consider in the future. Anyway, glad to see some of the classics such as Halloween and Lethal Weapon make the poll. Here are my 10 weekly movie requests: The Long Kiss Goodnight Ransom (Mel Gibson and Gary Sinese, who played Lt. Dan in Forrest Gump) Breakdown The Sum of All Fears Goldeneye: They mentioned they have never seen a 007 film and this is an ideal one to start. Pierce Bronson does a great job in the roll and the movie led to one of the most popular video games ever. Outbreak (1995) As Good As It Gets There's Something About Mary The Sixth Sense (Bruce Willis gives perhaps the best performance of his career in this film and Haley Joel Osmont, who actually played Forrest Jr., gives an oscar-worthy performance as well.) The Game (1997)

Justin S.

Commenting every week in hopes of V for Vendetta reaction for November 5th!

Michael McGee

I'm also glad to see Halloween (1978) make the poll as it is in my top 5 horror films all time. I do disagree a bit on Halloween 2 (1981). You can make the argument that Halloween 1 and 2 are one movie but split into two parts, since they take place on the same night but just with more violence in part 2. I think Halloween 2018 should have included the events of part 2 because I grew up watching that film multiple times and recognizing the "twist" that was revealed at the end. Halloween H20 was also quite decent but there's no way the 2018 version could have been a continuation of that, with how it ended.

and little miss sunshine

Nolan green (NoIIan on discord)

If we're talking about the Cult Classic, the one released in 2003, Directed by Tommy Wiseau... then Yes -- and they might as well do "The Disaster Artist" too, which came out in 2017, Directed by James Franco.

Darius.

I 100 percent think since they've been liking the edgar wright films... Baby Driver, no question

Nolan green (NoIIan on discord)

Well, at least we get multiple votes now, considering how big the Poll is. It was nice with just the one, but that only works if you have a smaller Poll. Having said that, not really feeling any of these -- maybe a few, but the two vying for number one, are "Knives Out" & "Justice League", neither of those I want to win. Nevertheless, what can you do... Anyway, I decided to do something a little different with my recommendations this time around. Plus, after watching ya'll "Forrest Gump" Reaction, you've been interested in Director's Names. So, many of these you probably don't have on your List, maybe, just unlikely: "Heat" (1995) or "Collateral" (2004) [these were Directed by the same person - Michael Mann] "The Hurt Locker" (2008) [Directed by Kathryn Bigelow] "True Grit" (2010) [Directed by the Coen Brothers] This ones an oldie, "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance" (1962) [Directed by John Ford] These next two are similar -- "The Legend of Bagger Vance" (2000) [Directed by Robert Redford] "The Greatest Game Ever Played" (2005) [Directed by Bill Paxton, His last Movie] Side-note, Brian Tyler, the Music Composer, did that & a few Marvel Movies. Fitting, considering those are all under The Walt Disney Company. "The Illusionist" (2006) [Directed by Neil Burger] What's interesting here, is that it came out the exact Year as "The Prestige", just 2 Months prior, "The Prestige" is considered "more popular" with similar Thematic Elements. Furthermore, it's Directed by Christopher Nolan, which could be why and He had already done "Memento" (2000) and just finished "Batman Begins" (2005). Keep-in-mind, both were Nominated for an Academy Award for "Best Cinematography". Okay, I'm done, lol.

Darius.

You should watch Kong: Skull Island before you watch KOM

Sharrod Wolf

OH MY GOSH STARSHIP TROOPERS. These cult classic movies get me every time. I try not to request it to add to your workload haha But you always end up doing them, amazing! p.s. I have to vote for Hellboy because I was lucky enough to work a little on the videogame for the 2nd movie. And we got free tickets to see the movie, great memories and I still love that movie (both are good!) :D

Lee Salvemini

The Chumscrubber

Christopher Larimer

Bruce Almighty!

Agreed. Unbelievable performances.

Tucci

I'm with others and really like the multiple choice voting! I think it'll allow a wider group of people to be happy with the weekly pick. Because our first or even second choice may not win but maybe our third will instead of a movie we have little interest in etc. Like just from this poll I can see The Karate Kid getting a lot more votes. Suggestions: Mad Max: Fury Road, Parasite, The Social Network, Attack the Block, Love Simon, The Theory of Everything, Ocean's Eleven (2001), Remember the Titans, Hacksaw Ridge, Legends of the Fall, Good Will Hunting

rhaegar

The Room

Calum

Tremors

The Amazing Spider-Man 2012

William Weber

I saw Good Will Hunting on what I think was last week's poll. That movie is 1000% worth the watch.

Oh my god! I'm so surprised and happy to see Eighth Grade on this poll. I know it has no chance of winning, but to whoever recommended it, thank you. It's such a fantastic movie and it means a lot to me personally. One of the first films to make me cry. It is a somewhat awkward and uncomfortable movie to watch in certain parts, but I'd just love for more people to see that movie. The director, Bo Burnham, is a stand-up comedian and musician. His Netflix Special "Make Happy" is hilarious (depending on your sense of humour and values), but it's also beautiful. Anyway, couldn't recommend his movie enough!

Starship Troopers is a masterpiece, but if you only look at it at face value then yeah it just looks like super models shooting bugs but the underlying themes in this "utopia" of a world they created--Buenos Aires being a country for rich, white families? Really? A lot of details go unnoticed but it's such a polished film. A lot of it can go over people's heads, like the director's other film Robocop which I'm sure people just see as "a robot cop that shoots people", again, a film with so much more underneath the surface.

Daniel R

I didn't like that movie either. I found the satire just didn't work. I'm a huge Heinlein fan and I read the book as a kid and enjoyed it (along with everything else Heinlein wrote) but the movie was a big disappointment.

Paul Fisher

So happy you guys finally watched Scott Pilgrim and loved it as much as I thought you would! Also... May I respectfully recommend that Starship Troopers is NOT a good fit for this channel...? Sorry if there are people who love it (?) but it is so violent and gory, I really don't think the ladies would like it at all. I usually like scary monster movies but that movie was just gore for gore's sake. Hard pass (especially for Mom).

zammmerjammer

The Jacksons An American Dream ( kinda long will have to break it up in parts) but i think its worth it Blade A Goofy Movie Remember the Titans Rush Hour

David Martin

I 100% agree. Everyone voting for that movie must not be familiar with our dear reactors and their sensibilities. I'm no shrinking violet but I found the few clips I've seen of that movie so full of gross-out extreme violence that I never ever want to see it (and I'm otherwise exactly the sort of person who would enjoy a giant bug/monster/alien movie).

zammmerjammer

Don't wanna be a downer or insinuate that I know your mom's tastes of course, but I do wonder if Starship Troopers is a film for her? It is not as bad as say a slasher film and maybe a bit less gory than Saving Private Ryan, but the constant language, the random nudity and the gore are pretty uh...consistent. Lol, just something to maybe think about is all I offer. :p

Namey Namerson

Bourne Trilogy

Die hard movie series would be great.

Tomcats62

I highly recommend 10 cloverfield lane, but I also suggest watching Cloverfield first. Thats a little more enriching experience.

Kevin

Shazam! (Not connected to Justice League)

Well I'll go with some ones that have not been high on the list but are great. True Lies( stars Jamie Lee Curtis and Arnold), Crimson Tide(Denzel and Gene Hackman), Blade (Marvel movie before the MCU)

Tomcats62

Kubo and the Two Strings, Superman 1978, Air Force One, Aquaman, Birds of Prey, Shazam, Die Hard.

Adam Grunther

Hope to see air force one again. Other recommendations the prestige, prisoners and the rush hour movies

Caleb Harvey

Cloverfield. But not 10 Cloverfield. It's a semi sequel. But the original is a cult classic!!! Also Chronicle!!! A super hero movie, not as crazy as The Boys and not clean cut enough for Marvel. Another cult classic.

Thomas Massie

Tinman or The 10th Kingdom.

Oouga

American Werewolf in London for October And then Crazy Rich Asians

Tyler Mckenzie

So excited to see Halloween on the poll. I doubt it will win, but maybe you could do it during October anyway. I would follow it with Halloween 2018, as it is a direct sequel, and is better than the actual Halloween 2 from 1981 I think. Some other Halloween recommendations. - Misery - Pumpkinhead - The Exorcist Of course assuming you haven't already seen these. 😉 Also I love your channel, and your content. And thus would understand if you had to take a break. Stop clone wars for a while, take a break before starting Better Call Saul. Stopping the polls so you don't keep getting bombarded with requests. Whatever is easiest for you guys, I'm all for.

Ryan B

You should react to:

Tyler Mckenzie

Resident Evil (2001)

Hoping that "The Crow" will make the list and win. Great movie and sadly the last performance of rising star, Brandon Lee.

Raymond DeGraw

An eighth grade reaction would be cool, I haven't seen many people do that

Laura Cunningham

Perks of being a wallflower. Thanks 👍
