Once Kim can help more with editing, I'm going to take out more time to respond to you all! This movie was great! I was worried about Mom (and you all are so great for worrying about her too!)... but she did fine! She said she enjoyed this! Yay and phew! ;)

2019-12-31 03:06:47 +0000 UTC"What happened to Dallas?" That's in the extended edition I think. I won't spoil it. That chest-bursting joke from SpaceBalls should make so much more sense to them now. It was even the same actor (John Hurt) in both movies. Hence the "Oh no! Not again!" line in SpaceBalls. The actor Harry Dean Stanton (the guy who was looking for the cat) died 2 years ago at the of age 91, he started acting in 1954 all the way to 2017. Finally, if you can handle Alien you can handle the sequel.

2019-12-31 00:40:32 +0000 UTCWhenever the word “dated” is used i can’t help but feel it is in an insult to the film, whether it’s the effects or the common technology available at the time. This film looks more realistic and authentic than literally any MCU movie.

James Cameron's follow up may have more popular appeal and some may find Alien kind of slow, but i'm always mesmerised by the set design, the sound design and the naturalistic dialouge. It's just a gorgeous film. Thank you so much for this reaction, it was awesome.

2019-12-30 12:30:55 +0000 UTClove this movie to death but cant wait for the squeal aliens!!!! the first is a master piece of its time but i always go with aliens for me its the same as terminator vs T2. the original is amazing but something about the sequel is just so awesome also another James Cameron epic!! two of the very few movies that were able to truly improve on its originals foundation!! hope we dont have to wait too long!!!
