TV Show POLL- What are we watching next?!
Added 2019-10-24 20:57:27 +0000 UTCHi everyone and welcome back! So, Kim just informed me she really likes DAREDEVIL and wants to keep watching... LOL.. we are almost done with The Boys, so I believe we will commit to DAREDEVIL, but want to still react to other shows as well! Kim is still in training to help me edit, but she is getting there and working hard to learn... meaning more shows if we keep growing too! You all are amazing!
We will also take on Chernobyl too since that is so highly requested too. Whatever WINS here, we will squeeze in when we have time :) Hope that's ok for now, until Kim is up to speed editing with me!
Chernobyl questions- is this series based off actual facts? Do you think Mom can handle this? Thanks!

2019-10-29 17:16:54 +0000 UTCMost of Chernobyl shows what really happened in real life before and after the disaster, the characters in the show are all based off real people too, it puts you right inside of the events and makes you feel like you were really there. That is one of the reasons it can be hard for people to watch as knowing these events really happened is the most effective type of "horror" out there, real life horror. But Mom should be okay, you guys have seen some crazy stuff, this is definitely in its own league though considering how "real" it is but its like a history lesson that we all need to see i feel like. For the victims and survivors, we owe it to them. So i hope you guys will enjoy it!

2019-10-26 09:12:29 +0000 UTCChernobyl is graphic at times because of the radiation effects, other then that its mostly a good ass drama worth watching. Honestly if Mom could handle The Boys I don't see why she wouldn't Chernobyl. It's very powerful and probably the best show ive seen this year.

The day I can get an online reactor to watch Babylon 5 will be an incredibly happy day!

2019-10-24 23:19:54 +0000 UTCI feel like this list is missing some pretty heavy hitters: Sopranos, Fargo, Better Call Saul, Dexter, Narcos etc. I don't know how the titles for these lists are chosen, but if you're looking for inspiration, I would suggest looking at IMdB's Top 250 TV shows of all time. There you'll find everyone's favourite shows.

2019-10-24 21:53:36 +0000 UTCI'll note that while Good Omens doesn't have many votes, it's only 6 episodes, so viewing it in its entirety would be pretty easy. Chernobyl: Strictly in terms of graphic content, you've seen much more extreme content on Game of Thrones. I think Chernobyl is harder since it's based on true events. I think portions of the 4th episode would be the most difficult (and I've personally chosen to never watch that episode). So I think you might want to spoil yourself a bit for that episode (and perhaps the third) either to be able to tell them when to look away or to not watch that episode. I would respect that choice (obviously, since that's what I've done). I absolutely think it's worth the watch, though.

I agree with Denashi, Mom should be able to handle just fine, though there is a great deal of techno-talk. However, it does an excellent job of educating the audience. Abstaining on the vote, since Iโve seen none of these. :) Has anyone brought up BSG here?

Black Mirror has a few good episodes as well, but can you imagine being able to introduce people to a gem like The Twilight Zone?
