Rules /Transformations > New era]

Here are the new dynamics and rules that will be explored in New Era.

And yes, I’m almost done writing. I’ll be bringing around 10,000 new words soon, maybe even more.

You’ll be able to see the results for yourselves.

I’ve expanded a lot of things, so prepare your heart… and your fangs.

And yes, I took into account the suggestions ,both @Nugget’s flashback suggestion and @Zach Sellers’s bond suggestion.

Transformations:

Older vampires tend to be the ones capable of turning people into other vampires. But not all of them.

Only some elder vampires, whose venom is strong enough , either because of lineage or special gifts , can transform someone without adverse consequences or death.

Younger vampires are forbidden from attempting it [until they are 150 years old].

The venom of most young vampires is not strong enough to transform someone; it can result in death or the creation of a Ghoul.

Only a few young vampires can do it, and even then, repeating it may cause the person to die or become a Ghoul, as well as temporarily depleting the vampire’s venom supply.

Besides, even if the attempt is successful, the young vampire may be punished or executed depending on the will of the coven leader of the region.

If the young vampire belongs to a coven, the leader is responsible for deciding their punishment; if not, the vampire in question must be judged by the nearest coven leader or one who has indirect authority over them.

> Choosing not to punish the vampire can cause conflicts between covens, but it is not forbidden to let them live.

Ghoul:

The result of a mutation , a failure , when the venom cannot adapt to the body or is too weak to fully transform someone into a vampire.

The Ghoul feels pain and extreme thirst most of the time, often becoming uncontrollable after a few days.

They drink blood but also eat human flesh.

They are weaker than vampires but far more unstable.

Their sanity fades within days or even hours, with only rare moments of clarity.

Only a few manage to keep any control.

Humans who drink vampire blood:

There is a risk of addiction.

Vampire blood has healing properties but is also addictive.

If given more than once, and if the mind or will of the human weakens, they can become addicted.

It creates a bond between the vampire and the human , depending on the person, their loyalty or madness may be temporary or absolute, sometimes making them dependent.

It also makes them physically stronger than normal humans for a day or two, but can cause weakness afterward.

Venom instead of blood:

Vampires can temporarily hypnotize humans if they bite them while still alive.

The venom itself:

Vampire venom can be depleted as the vampire uses it throughout the day.

If exhausted : whether through hypnosis or attempts to turn someone (which can completely drain it) , it can take days or even months to regenerate.

This depends on the vampire, regardless of age.

The bond created through blood will be explored in more depth involving Riley.

It won’t be about blind loyalty or control, but a connection that also depends on the transformed person , exploring the reasons and choices vampires make when deciding to turn someone.
