Shorts Povs (Blood Legacies: Eleazar | Hayden | Caio.)

N: Some others will be interactive or not, but I intend to bring them soon. An update for New Era is also on the way; I have already written half of the update (11,000 words) but I am still finalizing more scenes and dialogues to make it a bigger update (Blood Legacies too, but it is still in the initial phase, although I have already written separate scenes :)

That's it, enjoy the short POVs and see you soon :)

[Pov Eleazar when the MC arrives at the infirmary.]

The child arrived collapsed, unconscious. The wounds caused by the creature had been healed by one of the light elementals, yet the memory haunted him. When the Krevan bastard and the Marven girl brought your body to the infirmary, you looked dead. That alone made his heart ache.

The blood that stained you was too much, but how much you lost along the way was what worried him most. Had he sent you to your death?

No. No. He hadn’t; you survived. You were healed. You're okay. You're alive.

He didn't fail.

That's why he looked at you with blue and severe eyes, his gaze shifting back and forth over you. He checked three times to see if you were fit to stand, but it didn't matter, you didn't notice, and you were okay. That's enough. "An arachne."

"Yes, Your Grace," the girl replied.

"Lord Balek must already be on his way to the cave with soldiers and carts. The bodies will be burned, and their ashes thrown into the river when it is time for the families to say goodbye." He explained. And he should say with all the words what you did for him and the soldiers by facing that monstrosity. At least that, otherwise, Eleazar would ensure he never had the chance. "I want you clean and rested." For that Elkar scum, unfortunately.

"No other suicide mission for us?" The bastard dares to mock. Eleazar considered killing him right there just for that. He had no patience for arrogant fools.

"I'll call you to go alone on the next one, how about that? Since you're so eager to go out again, little Tyler." Eleazar retorted, which made him frown. Good. "Your father will like to hear about it, it would please him to get rid of you." The bastard clenched his jaw and stepped forward, only for the Marven girl to extend a hand in front, stopping him and making him step back, albeit reluctantly. Wise move...

You look between them with narrowed eyes before turning to Eleazar. "The question remains. Should we go somewhere else?" The question fills him with pride. You were wounded, healed, barely rested, but already willing to go on another mission. Like a good warrior, ready to act. He taught well.

But even the best warriors need rest.

Eleazar looks back at you. "No, unless you want to leave, the answer is no. Dismissed." He turns and leaves through the door he came in, while a guard opens it for him and closes it behind him.

He sees the decorations and servants passing in the corridors and the pride gives way to anger. He remembered why he sent you to kill the direwolves, remembered why you needed to rest instead of training.

The Elkar...

[Hayden's POV: When the MC confronts them about their rumored flirts/liaisons (for the confrontations already in the demo and/or future ones)] (Note: Here's a snippet of a future scene, enjoy! :)

You move your face closer to Hayden. "Ah, I can also...." You whisper with an air of malice, making Hayden's eyes widen. This... You... you were so close, the way you spoke, how...

You looked down towards their lips and everything seemed to freeze. They heard their own heart race, and breathing suddenly became difficult. You were so close, it looked like you were going to... but you clenched your jaw and pushed them away, making them gasp. "Like throwing you off the terrace." The bitter disappointment hits them squarely in the chest. Of course, you wouldn't, why should they keep hope after all? It was useless. It was naivety and they were not naive.

Hayden moves away from the wall with a frown, they shouldn't seem so disappointed, maybe you didn't even care, but they couldn't help it. "Rude, and very disappointing. Others wouldn't miss the opportunity, you know." They really wouldn't. How many have tried to seduce them after...

"Oh, I'm well aware." You retort. "Your entertainments are no longer a secret, you know."

Hayden feels himself pale and a coldness in their chest arises as suddenly and brutally as your words. What... no, no. "What do you mean?"

"Didn't think I wouldn't find out what happened, did you?" You respond, and your look... the way you looked at them... no. They won't, they can't let this get to them, they won't have their heart crushed by mere words, not again. Hayden clenched their jaw but still dared to feign a smile.

"Well, at least someone had the opportunity, and others did too after." The shame followed by anger, but they won't falter in front of you, they won't simply open...

"And you're proud of that?" You ask exasperated.

Pride... Hayden laughs, but it is humorless. "Oh dear, you have no idea." You really don't. But at least their father knows, and Hayden would be proud of it, to see the look of disappointment and disgust, of anger, that their father cast upon them on the throne that day... but not the way you looked at them. That made the sweet sensation of pride turn sour and stupid, made them feel filthy and foolish. A true fool.

You pursed your lips at such words, looking away.

The reaction brought a small wave of warmth to their heart. A small spark of hope that gave them the courage to say the next words. "But you don't need to be jealous, you know."

"I'm not jealous." The denial is automatic, but they hope their instincts are right, that you are lying. I am a fool.

"Swear? Then didn't you wish it had been you?" I wished. Hayden thinks bitterly. But you weren't there, didn't see them humiliated, didn't see their heart break, didn't see how...

You don't respond, instead, you cast them a look and turn, your back to them as you leave the terrace. The disappointment fills their chest again, and they shook their head with a huff. At least they had courage.

That didn't make the sadness disappear, though.

(Small excerpt from a future scene. The dialogue shown here is from one choice, not all. There will be other dialogue options.)

"You seem to have something to say." Hayden couldn't avoid the mocking tone that slipped into their words, and you noticed, of course you did. "Go ahead, say it. Ask. Say whatever you want." It was like asking to be stabbed, but it's okay, they can try to stitch the wound later. If only they could disappear...

"You..." You hesitate but take a deep breath and finally ask, "Did you sleep with other people? Did you... have —"

"Yes." The answer made them want to laugh at how true it sounded. Instead, they smiled sadly. "According to the rumors."

"And what do you say?" You step forward onto the balcony, and Hayden's smile fades. The situation was more serious than they imagined, but...

"Depends." Hayden steps forward, standing just a small distance from you, though they wanted to close it even more, they didn't want to abuse your goodwill. Their eyes met yours, and their heart raced almost instantly. It was ridiculous how this made them feel both light and heavy at the same time. Hayden clenched their jaw, taking a deep breath. "On why this would matter to you."

[Pov of Caio when he and MC go to fetch Elia, he gets hurt, and the stoic MC gently takes care of him and cleans the blood from his wound.]

He was so focused on the pain in his forehead that he only noticed you approaching when you were beside him, extending a cloth to his face, to the wound on his forehead. "Here, let me help," you said.

Caio froze where he was, looking at your hand approaching with fear. You were close, you could feel him, you could find out—

The thoughts and panic seemed to vanish from his mind when you, you, the prodigy child of Darian, the duke's child, lifted a few strands of his hair with your hand and gently, gently... wiped the blood from his forehead. It was so soft, so careful, that he could hardly believe that the person acting so calmly and kindly was the same who could kill people and creatures so brutally. You stepped back, and Caio mentally kicked himself for missing the touch. What a fool, what an idiot. You were so close, you could feel, you might know what he was. But what if you knew? No, no, the Duke had made it clear that no one but him knew of his faerie lineage, but what if...

He blinked, dispersing the thoughts as he watched you put the cloth back in your pocket, which, although dirty, could be cleaned later.

"Thank you." His voice was low and timid, he knew. Still afraid, still cautious. He couldn't say exactly how Elementals could detect magic and beings like him, half-faerie, but his mother and father had warned him not to get too close to Elementals, much less other faeries and half-faeries. It was dangerous. They might know. And if they knew, they would despise him. They might even hurt him, perhaps use it against his family, claiming they were not trustworthy, which could cost his family dearly. Even though there was a half-faerie on the council, and her lineage had been known for a long time, even she had suffered from Petrunian prejudice.

"It's okay." You replied, but his eyes were on the saddle of his horse, not on you. "Let's continue."

Hello, good morning 😁 I'm a bit confused by the question? But Hayden didn't have an affair with a foreigner to help the kingdom or to gather information about the rebellion. The rebellion had happened three years before that and had already ended with all the rebels eliminated or imprisoned. Part of the reason Hayden had a relationship with the foreigner was genuinely to annoy their father, but there are other reasons why they did it.

hello good morning, I loved the points of view I just read Hayden's and I was wondering if her first case with the foreigner was to get a deal to protect the kingdom or try to find out information about who planned the Rebellion.
