Oh, so sorry to hear about your wife. Jess is strong in keeping the spirits up. I remember Clone Wars reactions being very strong at being proverbial and literal lifesavers. There is something just very wholesome about the Whovian reactions where the light shines so very brightly. Need to start looking into collecting Doctor Who books. My brother and I just discovered a Titan comic series with Twelve, and we’re both looking into getting those.

Thank you for the last 10 years,Jess. It seems we've all of us been through dramatic changes since then.I need to regretfully add my tale of caregiving to those mentioned by Thomas and Josef: a few years ago my wife of 34 years (and girlfriend for several years before that) was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. For the remaining 8 months of her life I was her primary care giver (not really a hardship,as her positive attitude was heartwarming); but it's no exaggeration to state that Fridays were always a bright light for me, as I knew that I could always take a quick break from the stresses of the situation and be uplifted by Jess' entertaining weekly Classic reaction. On a lighter note: I recognise two of those "12 Doctors,12 stories' books on Jess' sofa, which might be the ones I sent her all those years ago. Needless to say,3 more have been written since then. They've not been published individually, but the updated Anthology is worth checking out. :)
