The thing you mentioned, which Jess confirmed about Tales of the Tardis, that was my assessment as well, that we were waiting until the classic era was wrapped up. And now it’s a particularly good call seeing we have the interminable wait for the follow up to the Reality War mess. So this can be some stuff to enjoy in the meantime. It really says a lot for how many of the older cast keeps willing to come back. Jess does have very good skill in recognizing everyone. Recognized Carrie fairly easily in The Force Awakens. Her having the one Endor hairstyle was a big help, as was John’s theme for her. Though yes, seeing pictures of her at comic con leading up to the release helped as well. Nice to hear the Leela story you have. Louise is still kicking some serious ass. To the surprise of no one, Jess did get emotional, and we love to see it.

You have no idea how many times I've had to push down the urge to ask you about this, because no way am I adding to your stress level like that. I've also figured you were waiting for the end of the classic era to get back to Tales of the TARDIS, and boy are there some emotions waiting there. I continue to marvel at how many of the old actors are happy to come back for things like this, and give themselves a bit of closure they were denied the first time around. And I continue to be impressed at how quickly you can recognize them through all the added years, which I've very often had trouble with (I'm pretty sure I never would have recognized Carrie Fisher in Force Awakens if I hadn't been so familiar with recent interviews she'd done). Leela was one of the first companions I ever saw, as during my initial foray into the show in the '90s (ie, long before there was any inkling of it coming back), The Robots of Death was one of the few stories my local library had, and she's remained a favorite ever since, so I ate this up and reveled in Louise still kicking ass. She's still actively working in her 70s and is currently on a soap opera called Emmerdale, so I'm sure filming this involved some tricky scheduling issues, but the results are very much worth it., and it's no surprise you got this emotional over it. I'll admit to having no idea what "Ben is dead" means here, and my initial thought was just "Well, yeah, Michael Craze has been gone a long time now," but I'm pretty sure that's not it.
