This is where I thought RTD was going with the 15th Doctor with all his talk of Gods. I thought for sure he'd end season 2/15 with the Gods of Ragnarok, with Mrs. Flood as their harbinger, and not... what we got. Can't say it would have been any better, but it could hardly have been much worse.

2025-11-12 08:42:29 +0000 UTCGreatest Show has definitely stuck with me over the years. I first saw it when I was little on PBS not too long after it originally aired. There's a lot of meta stuff and in-jokes going on in this story. The Captain and Mags are a sort of twisted analog of Seven and Ace. Took me until I was in my 20s to realize the kid was the kind of Doctor Who fanboy that I was from age 7 to about 13 lol. The scene with Seven and the gods remains powerful for me to this day. Enjoyed seeing you react to a story that's dear to my heart.
