I have to agree with the very real danger Sophie was in during that last scene & thank God for Sylvester noticing. I held my breath when I saw that off camera drama unfold! Nice also to see Jean Marsh, who had her 3rd and final Classic Who appearance in this story. The first being Joanna, Sister of Richard the Lionheart in The Crusade & of course, as mentioned her 'was she or wasn't she a Companion' role as Sarah Kingdom in The Daleks Masterplan. One thing I took away from this was something about where they were and when they were. As to the 'Where', I can't recall the specifics of this, but the real-life location is supposed not to have a lake there. This caused a lot of fans to theorize that Dr Who does not take place in our reality. As for the 'When', it was broadcast in 1989 but supposedly set in the 90's, hence Ace's comments about the costs of the drinks being expensive, which I thought was a really nice touch. Ironic that The Doctor pays with a £5 coin. Firstly that was some prediction. £5 coins were not a thing when this was filmed, and although never as such became a thing, they did bring a few out, more as a commemorative piece, but they were and possibly still are legal tender. I actually own one which I wouldn't dream of trying to spend! Of course we're a long way past the 90's now, which makes the cost sound really cheap lol! So, as we enter the final season of this amazing series, I have to say that re-seeing it through Jess's lense is making me emotional too. What a great gift it is to start with a story featuring the iconic Brigadier! See you next time!
