Classic Who "The Greatest Show in the Galaxy" Parts 1&2 Full Reaction!

"There are lots of surprises for the family at the Greatest Show in the Galaxy! So many strange surprises, I'm prepared to bet, whatever you've seen before, you ain't seen nothing yet.", Ringmaster, "The Greatest Show in the Galaxy" This is an odd story - although the rap is fun. I'm not sure whether it's deep - or just, as you said, bizarre. There's certainly a lot of weird characters. And thank goodness for cut & paste - this has the longest title in Classic Who history (unless you call "The Massacre" by the full title of "The Massacre of St Bartholomew's Eve"). "You know, this tent seems quite spacious.", sesskasays, Reaction to "The Greatest Show in the Galaxy" It was planned to have the usual location filming followed by the studio recording. However, due to asbestos contamination, the studio sessions were cancelled. Could this have been another "Shada"? But, fortunately, it was possible to pick up the studio sessions by filming inside a tent they set up in a carpark. So, it means that many of the interior "tent" sets were actually recorded in a big, er, spacious, tent. "Yeah, what about my rucksack, Professor? What did you do with it?", Ace, "The Greatest Show in the Galaxy" Um, that's the rucksack with Nitro-9 that Ace threw into the Cyber-ship in "Silver Nemesis" - a continuity error. This is explained because they switched the order of the final two episodes to allow "Silver Nemesis" to be broadcast on the day of the Who anniversary. So, a few continuity issues slipped in. "Things don't just vanish.", Ace, "The Greatest Show in the Galaxy" At which point one of his juggling balls does just that. BTW: that clip of 7 juggling was used in the video promo for the Classic Who 40th anniversary DVDs. Incidentally, the writer and director just assumed that Sylvester McCoy could juggle due to his physical comedy background - he couldn't. I like the callback to 4's scarf and that we see Mel's outfit from "Time and the Rani". "They'll catch us, I know it. They'll drag us back to the circus.", Bellboy, "The Greatest Show in the Galaxy" Bellboy is played by Christopher Guard - we saw his brother playing Olvir in "Terminus" - "We're on a leper ship! We're all going to die!" "And I am Captain Cook, the eminent intergalactic explorer. You happen to have heard of me, old boy?", The Captain, "The Greatest Show in the Galaxy" The Captain is played by the prolific, T. P. McKenna. Prolific? - 163 IMDB credits!
