Supernatural 13x08 Full Reaction!

Liking the festive setup. All respect to your mom, I’d be somewhat annoyed if my mom and I were watching a show at the same time, and she just powered on through ahead of me, and I’d have a “MA!!” type of response. I know Mom would be displeased if I pulled that. You have a laugh about it, and that’s great. You say that your mom lets you know about an episode this season that you will love. Don’t know which episode that is. I know of one specific episode to come, though I haven’t seen it, and I can say that I’m reasonably certain that it will yield a most terrific reaction. Whether that’s the aforementioned episode that your mom refers to, that I can’t speak to. See how it goes. Now for this episode. This one was a fun one. In the absence of knowing where Jack is, the boys have some desperate times with the deal with Barthamus, who tried to sweeten the pot with the pie. Pie is pie, as you say, except I’m picky is hell. My brother would be with Dean on eating it though and sharing your philosophy. Love how the boys are both cautiously optimistic yet acknowledging that it’ll undoubtedly go south quick. Sends up the red flag when Barthamus fails to mention what they’re after. We both liked Alice. We both call out Dean for picking on her, especially rich considering his tastes. The other demon was an ass. Love how you and Dean were on the same page with the hand thing. Shining spot of the episode was Luther. Me, I’m down for the good Imperial actors in stuff, and Richard Brake is great. Love how you lived for him. I imagine that he and Sam would have gotten along better under better circumstances. Dude had the setup of Raiders meets Crusade, and I applaud it, and I applaud the boys coming up with working around it. Cracked me up too much when Dean expressed disappointment when he learned that Sam has seen Entrapment, and he sort of backs off when Sam says, “Catherine Zeta-Jones.” which makes me say, “Fair.” Love how the script is flipped when Luther revealed what happened, and he suddenly becomes a tragic figure. We share the reaction to his head being lopped off. Barthamus really wanted to kill him more than Bill Burr did, it seems. Love the boys helping Alice burning the bones killing Barthamus, sacrificing the page in the process. I too would like to see Alice again. And although the boys are back to square one, they have the good optimism and the beer. And it’s sweet how you and Sam appreciate Dean sounding more optimistic again. Fun reaction, Jess, thank you.
