Fair that you rank this a four on the scale of one to ten, spooky-wise. As has been mentioned, this isn’t strictly speaking a warmly regarded anniversary special. You compared it to Remembrance of the Daleks, and you noted the similarities, and yes, the former story works better as the anniversary special. Still think this is good for the anniversary special, all the same, I get the popular sentiment. Continued to be a delight to see you get into Lady Peinforte. Was great when Mrs. Remington gives her and the guy the ride. There was the rather shrill scream at the one point, which it is great how you acknowledge how you’re not one to talk. Man, do I love it seeing you give Ace her props for the slingshot business. Lady is a badass, and it’s great to see you see her in action. Likewise, we finally get to see you experience Seven’s savagery, and your work exceeds all expectations. Man surely was not playing. The intent, I believe, was to imply a greater backstory on the horizon, as you deduced with the cryptic dialogue. Nothing really, far as I’ve gathered, has ever really come from it. Even the Timeless Child business is largely disconnected from this. Fantastic to see your reactions to the Cybermen fleet being destroyed. Striking it was when Lady Peinforte goes the way of Raiders of the Lost Ark meets Superman III, albeit nowhere near as traumatizing as the latter film. Yes, the fucking Nazis were completely goddamn useless. Not even Not Martin Bormann got any real time to shine. Not that that’s a bad thing. Oh, and reiterating my comment on youtube: Michael Myers and the Cybermen would love each other. Thanks for the fun reaction, Jess, melancholic and bittersweet though it is that we are nearing the end.

"Professor? Doctor? Who are you?", Ace, "Silver Nemesis"
A darker, more mysterious Doctor.
"Dorothea Remington did bribe away my cook.", "Oh, now, let me see. Yes, there was a Dorothea. She died in Sixteen ...", "... Twenty-one. 'Twas a slow poison.", Lady Peinforte and Mrs Remington, "Silver Nemesis"
I like this story - although, as you mentioned, there's probably too much plot and too many groups running around for three episodes. There's always a toss-up between this and "Remembrance of the Daleks". "Remembrance" is a more solidly told story - (with that nice cafe scene), but "Remembrance" doesn't have Lady Peinforte and Richard Maynarde in it. And they are so wonderful, I have to go with "Silver Nemesis".
"Cyberleader moves pawn to discover check.", The Doctor, "Silver Nemesis"
Oh, I like the chess callback, with the Doctor and Ace dancing around their foes - given that we'd seen the Doctor examining a chess board in the historic era.
"And I trust you remember my strict instructions never to cause any further explosions?", "I'm a better person as a result, Doctor.", The Doctor and Ace, "Silver Nemesis"
I also like this continuing joking between the Doctor and Ace about not carrying explosives - twice in this story. Of course it also continued to be referenced in New Who.
"I was only ever trying to teach you good habits, Ace. Obviously, I failed.", 7 Manifestation, "The Power of the Doctor"
"As a matter of fact, I'm here on a visit, checking out my roots.", "Tis wise with crops this time of year, ma'am.", Mrs Remington and Richard Maynarde, "Silver Nemesis"
Dolores Gray, the Tony-winning actress and singer, plays Mrs Remington. Apparently, she had left a bag with her jewelry on a London street when she had been collected for the Who filming - but, it all worked out ok - the jewelry was found and returned.
"And I'm to destroy the entire Cyberfleet?", Nemesis, "Silver Nemesis"
Yes, this is a bit too similar to the "Remembrance of the Daleks" and the Hand of Omega.
"Just like you nailed the Daleks.", Ace, "Silver Nemesis"
In fact it's so similar that Ace even mentions it in the story - but mentioning it doesn't make it feel less of a repeat.
"So who'll be next, and who'll be lucky?", Ace, "Silver Nemesis"
Ace with a gold-coin-loaded catapult - it doesn't get better than this.
