Supernatural 13x04 Full Reaction!

Start by saying that’s a nice necklace. Good episode this week. Great to see John Badham back in the director’s chair again. Man does good work. Start with the Castiel portion. Love how you vibed with Misha having the dual role. Rather enjoy how Castiel deduces that the nothingness being is limited in options as to what to do to Castiel. Namely how he can’t send him into the deeper pit of nothingness, or he would have done so already. Basically, the option is send him back, or Castiel would piss him off for eternity. He’s back and has you on his ass to get the lead to get back to the bunker. Speaking of the bunker. Sam is right that it would be good to get Jack out of the bunker, and Dean has the point that if he’s in the bunker, he’s not out doing God knows what. Meantime, nice that Jack seemed to be enjoying Clone Wars, loved your smile at that. LOVE the look you had at the rather interesting mispronunciation of Ahsoka’s name. (Funny enough, the closed captions got it right.) Case started out messy. We both had words about the carpet. Likewise, there was the shared “Carol!” at the later scene. I hear you on much though it is messy, you like that the boys are being open, and they are being honest (to a point,) about their positions on shit. Anticipated that you’d be on board with the therapy scene. Tensions do rise when Dean’s the fucking asshole in that part. Good on Sam for the line of asking Dean if he wants to move on from their mom, and Dean has no answer to that one. And later, when Dean is the fucking asshole, and very heavily projecting, Sam calls him out on said projection, and he had the damn heartbreaking moment of yelling about how Dean had something with their mom, and he never got that. Saw it in your eyes how that one hit you, that was striking. Love how Mia calls Dean out on shit. Good that they clear up about her being a shapeshifter yet is innocent of the murders at that’s the doing of her ex. Quick sidenote: You point out that you have her one shirt, which, yeah, if not exact, it is very similar. I know the one you’re talking about. Like that you ponder about the therapy of appearing as lost loved ones. The idea I can get behind. How effective it’d be is a separate question. Be nice to have goodbyes. In Jack’s case it seems to help being able to see his mom. The credits gave that game away. The scene was sweet. Good on Jack for saving everyone, allowing Sam to get the killshot in against the bad guy. You had the great reaction to Jack’s smile after that. Gets Dean to start easing up. Nice of him to admit he was out of line earlier. Like how you have that middle ground of you want to side with Sam with the hope for Jack, yet you can’t fault Dean for the skepticism. Gets you when Sam asks the question of what if Dean is right about their mom. Leads to that scene that you liked of Dean saying that he needs Sam to keep the faith. Get what you mean about sort of wishing that they hadn’t shown what they’ve shown about Mary with Lucy as it would be great to leave that ambiguous and let the audience sort out their own ideas. Bringing us to Crowley. Hurts the soul to hear you say that you feel that it is looking likely that Crowley is dead. And even then, you have the hope that the show will say “Somehow, Crowley returned.” at some point or another That’s the spirit, Jess. Thanks for the great reaction.
