Thanks for another great reaction. I have to say in this story, one of the things which stands out for me is the departure of Mel & the Doctors remark about it being time for her to go & having never met her yet. This for me makes Mel one of the most fascinating companions & a real enigma. She was taken by The Master from the 6th Doctors 'future' timeline, which was effectively re-written by the Timelords when they took him out of time for the trial. This means there was never a point in time where they actually met. Also, how she got to modern day Earth from Glitz's timeline (which was millions of years in the future) is an equal enigma & one which I felt has never been explained. Maybe the trial era was closer to 20th Century Earth. I always felt that Glitz found her to be too much of a thorn in his side for his dodgy nature, so dropped her back off on Earth! As you suggested Jess, I'd love to see that spin-off where that story could be told! Dragonfire itself is a really good story with some dark moments (when Kain's face melted at the end was quite harrowing to watch originally).
