"Oh, I haven't used it in over forty years, but it'll still put the wind up a Bannerman.", Burton, "Delta and the Bannermen"
It's been about thirty-eight years (not forty) since this story was broadcast. It's not the best thing Classic Who has ever done - but I'm sure, as you said, that it's one you'll remember!
"Oh, I don't know. We've been working together so long I've completely lost track of all time. But I remember this one especially well. 1932, a hot summer and abundant cherry blossom. A classic honey.", Goronwy, "Delta and the Bannermen"
Goronwy is sweet - and a man of taste. I know he was introduced in last week's block but he has more impact in this part. Goronwy is played by veteran Welsh actor Hugh Lloyd. I remember him best from his regular appearances in the Hancock shows (radio and TV) - most memorably "The Blood Donor".
And when Goronwy's reading his book on bees, Mel and Weismuller just take his table away - and he's cool with it!
"Head 'em up! Roll 'em out!", The Doctor, "Delta and the Bannermen"
When Ray is on the little scooter you can see that Sylvester has to kick start it.
"Once inside, you will kill everyone except the young princess. I will deal with her personally.", Gavrok, "Delta and the Bannermen"
Don Henderson said he enjoyed filming this story and suggested to the producer that his character could have had a twin brother so Henderson might make a return.
"I can't condone this foolishness, but then, love has never been known for its rationality.", The Doctor, "Delta and the Bannermen"
Billy drinks the some of Delta's hatching vials and starts to change - and he does it because of love - without thinking of the consequences ... Ok.
"Well, that should hold them all the way back to Mars, or wherever you're going.", Weismuller, "Delta and the Bannermen"
I'm also still not sure, after all this time, why Weismuller and Hawk are in this story - but they're fun.
"Oh, I almost forgot. Will you look after the Vincent for me?" Billy, "Delta and the Bannermen"
Will Ray ever get over Billy? Well, she's gets the classic motorcycle - she'll be ok.
"Love is the answer. Here's to the future.", Song, "Delta and the Bannermen"
This song is so, so familiar to me - it was on that "The Doctor Who 25th Anniversary Album" CD. It was composed by the series composer, Keff McCulloch, who was also involved with the re-recording of the vintage songs we hear at the dance and over the camp speakers.
I believe this is your satellite, gentlemen.", The Doctor, "Delta and the Bannermen"
