Supernatural 12x22 Full Reaction!

Though there's one more episode left of this season, I was happy to know at least one of the season's main plotlines wrapped up here and gave a little bit of closure before I go on my break.

Violent and satisfying is a fair description for this one. We both had the visceral reaction to Jody being on the list of targets. Thing is, I saw Kim’s name in the credits, and knew she was safe following Kim’s fierce decision after the OFFENSIVE Charlie business. Felt better when seeing Kim, meaning she would be safe. Indeed, Jody handled shit, with some help from Alex. The rules you said about going after Jody and Garth: Acceptable rules that you laid down. We likewise agreed with Dean with his initial plan to kill Toni, loved you being Siskel and Ebert by giving two thumbs up to said plan. And later when of course she lied, we were in favor of killing her then, I encouraged Dean by saying that he gets to tell Toni how she’ll get to tend the rabbits. To her limited credit, and probably because she never gets much opportunity, she never really does try any double cross. The question of did the boys ever expect to go out like it looked like they were going to rather than going out like Butch and Sundance, (yes, mild spoilers for an upcoming reaction,) I deadpanned, “The British bitch is an unforeseen development.” Love how Sam when kicking himself for trusting the Brits, Dean lets him vent and offers no ill will. The boys did have the good plan with the wall. I take it in, and say, “So, we’re going to Shawshank this bitch.” and I say that right before Dean has his line of saying, “Straight Shawshank this bitch.” and it made me laugh. Dean had a little treat with the grenade launcher. Toni starts the “dumb American” rant, and we had similar, “You have any better suggestions, ya dumb bitch?” responses. Quite the balls of the bitch to ask Dean for favors after brainwashing and essentially raping Sam, then brainwashing Mary, you’re right about that. We both had a response to brainwashed Mary’s line to Jody, who I’m just saying this: Jody is the boys’ godmother at this point. I don’t care if she’s not literally their godmother, she is their godmother. Effort is made to get through to Mary with the whole Exorcist II type shit, complete with more goddamn needles. And yeah, that part is the emotional high point. First time that Dean says that he hates Mary, yup, that reaction you had was mine as well; that one smarts. We assessed about the same that Dean needed to let that out, Mary needed to hear it, and yeah, Jensen sells it expressing his hatred and forgiveness in equal measure. Adored all your reactions to that. Ketch interrupts with yet ANOTHER goddamn clashing tie and pocket square combo, I think he’s doing it on purpose. Kills Toni, making me say, “Yes. Very sad. Anyway!” loved your own comment of “Can’t say I’m mad about that.” Think Toni being dead now won’t help the show to be sans needles, though it will be one less person to indulge in the needles of it all. Ketch is one dumb bastard as rather than shoot Dean, the macho shithead had to fight him, and Dean handed him his ass. We both loved it when Mary killed Ketch. We both loved Jared having the inspiring speech. He leads the charge as we are done with the Brits in this show. And they would rather die trying to take them down than giving them what they want. Madame Hess lets them know about Lucy, and shows stupidity in thinking that Crowley is dead, share your thoughts there. Mad respect to Sam for the rejection. You assess right how Sam’s dealt with Lucifer, so doesn’t need the Brits help. On top of he already put trust in the Brits, and said trust was violated, they’re killing his friends, and you can tell he’s also thinking, “You went after my mother. That’s not something that I can forgive.” And Jody is the one to put the bullet in Madame Hess’s head, killing her, and I SO LOVED how that was what you were wanting, leading to the delightful reaction there, Jess. Just a dandy scene that makes you say to Jody, “High five, low five, I LOVE YA!!!” You and I both had the response to Mary’s worry about Sam’s forgiveness. Sure enough, he is quick to forgive. The boys are both forgiving sorts, though Dean is a bit on the surlier side with it. Now they have to go after Lucy, which I look forward to that reaction after your break. Until then, this reaction is one that will go a long way to tide me over until then. Much appreciation for this reaction, Jess.
