Classic Who "Paradise Towers" Parts 3&4 Full Reaction!

Oh, the Great Architect must be delighted.", The Doctor, "Paradise Towers" I like this story - and there's a lot going on. I normally just recall it as being that silly, over-the-top dystopian story with Richard Briers (as Kroagnon) playing a parody of a Doctor Who zombie villian - and that's certainly a valid criticism of *his* acting choice - but actually this is an amusing story with great world building. That's "Paradise Towers" in a nutshell - I like it! "Oh, what a naughty little girl we are. Looks as though butter wouldn't melt in her mouth and now she's killed poor dear Tabby!", Tilda, "Paradise Towers" Those two sweet ladies - those two sweet, CREEPY CANNIBAL ladies - get what they deserve: dragged into the waste disposal unit. As you said, at least we don't have to worry about them. "Mel, does mean this I've really helped save someone from something for the first time?", "I think it might.", Pex and Mel, "Paradise Towers" The character of Pex as imagined in the script was different that the one we got when Howard Cooke was cast. I'd have to re-read the novelization to check what his character is like there - but the character on screen has a pathos which I'm not sure was scriped. "But I always knew in my bones he'd turn up again one day. Start altering things just when I'd got them the way I wanted.", Chief Caretaker, "Paradise Towers" When the Doctor switches interrogation places with the Chief Caretaker, I am reminded of 10 doing that to the Detective Inspector in "The Idiot's Lantern". "Kang wallscrawl.", Pex about the TARDIS, "Paradise Towers" A graffitid TARDIS!? Pre-echoes of "Aliens of London" or maybe recalling Professor Rubeish in "The Time Warrior". "All shape ship and ready, Doctor.", Bin Liner, "Paradise Towers" I'll say it again - I love the Tower's odd dialect. "But Blue Kangs have won!", Blue Kang Leader, "Paradise Towers" The Blue Kang Leader is not named but in his novelization Stephen Wyatt names her "Drinking Fountain". "Oh, the water's really lovely.", Mel, "Paradise Towers" Good acting! The pool water was actually freezing cold because the pool's heating had been turned off. Also, according to notes in the show, some of the prop statues around the pool had been used as props in episode 2 of "The Keys of Marinus". "We're sorry you must go, Doctor and Mel. We've made you an honorary Kang, Doctor.", "Oh, a Blue Kang or a Red Kang?", "Both.", Blue Kang Leader, the Doctor, and Fire Escape, "Paradise Towers" "Hail Pex.
