PDG 101 – Pt.12: Faux 3d printing

Does your 3d print take to much time? Why not try printing virtually then! In this video Chris shows you how to (ab)use a software originally created for 3d printing to add a unique stop motion effect to your animations.

Fun tutorial! I'm confused to why this is under the PDG 101 series though?

Valdemar Nyhlén

Yes, watched it multiple times already :D It's on the list, but there's lots to learn beforehand as well! I'm fairly certain though the nodetree they're showing just prepares data for ML and does not execute the learning itself. Still a very valid use of PDG.

Wonderful tutorial! loving the series so far. Have you seen the machine learning application on the bottom of the PDG page? https://www.sidefx.com/products/pdg/ If there is enough interest, would it be possible to tackle such a project?

Joris Putteneers

no prob at all! psyched to give this a try

Matt Knudsen
