Rendering 101 - pt. 27: Contemporary Lighting Styles Pt.2 - The (Slightly) More Complex Ones

Mo continues exploring popular lighting techniques with two slightly more complex setups – this time including a background! (Still blatantly “inspired” by Man vs. Machine and SixnFive).

I can also not download the files from the link - is the link broken again by any chance?

+1 for an emissive lighting setup. Maybe a reflective object in a studio with a complex hexagonal mesh of lights, like an array of kinoflo tubes.

Just rechecked, seems to be working fine. Could you retry? Thx, Mo

Hey Mo - Just a tip that you can enable "Limit out of frustum tesselation" and set it to zero to tell Redshift not to tesselate the geometry that's not seen by the camera. For scenes with heaps of geo outside the camera's view, this can be super useful. Cheers! P.S. 20:30 "Roughly in the direction of my scene" - proceeds to enter exact rotation to four decimal places

Anything particular you have in mind? Cheers, Mo
