Particles Part 05 / 02 - Plant Growth With POPReplicate

Here comes part two of our ecosystem setup. This time we'll add branches to the growing stems from part 1. We investigate the use of the POP replicate further, discuss the differences between its two input ports and deal with inherited attributes. Finally we attach leaves to the newly created branches to finish the setup off. This is basically a typical real world example of a particle setup. After watching the tutorial you might want to extend the concept with more influences on plant growth, like a nutrition attribute or similar.

The final Render Setup file that was used to generate the title graphics is attached to this post, too.

really enjoyed this project, ive had a few ideas in my mind and this is very close to allowing me to create them. i am running into a few issues that i dont seem to be able to work out. I added yet another stream to the simulation, stream D. i configured the "set split" node to duplicate out the require attributes to be made for stream D. the motion is working fine but when the stream A point stops, stream C also stops, but my new stream D continues on replicating. also, any idea how to make this work with a vellum sim? seems vellum hates growing geo as much as the point deformer does.
