Oh Man, Wish i met you back in 2006, which i started to learn houdini, but because of not having good tutorials, I gave up..! Guys you are awsome , im very happy to learn from you. 👍🍻

That's a hard question. The challenge here is that VEX is a weird mixture of paradigms. While I like "The Nature of Code" a lot, it is written with processing in mind, which is object oriented. (Which VEX isn't) But the math basics hold true for any language. And its online version is free: http://natureofcode.com/book/

Let's do it :)

Awwww thanks for start with this topics. Besides the links, could you recommend some books on programming, maths or processes that are related to the subject? If you consider it relevant, of course.

Samuel Alonso

the worst part is when you feel like you can take on VEX, having enough examples under your belt to get the basic commands and formatting. but then you go to start in an empty point wrangle... and you just stare at the black void... trying to remember how to put your ideas into floats and arrays... ugh. hahahah, not looking forward to these but i am excited to maybe, just maybe, one day being able to create a wrangle from scratch to build the desired result. ON WARD AND UPWARD!

Don't worry too much, maybe I brought too much of my own experience to the table - as long as you've got a certain amount of stamina you should be fine. Vector math... Depending on the setup I'd say. Most basic setups can be done with adding, subtracting and multiplying vectors. So there's a good chance we'll get by without in-depth vector math :)

Entagma

hoboy.... so intimidating. But so interesting and I know you guys are going to be super thorough and concise! I would add that wouldn't it also include learning a bit about vector maths as well?

Very Helpful Explanation

Okay, I'll ready... Maybe.
