A New Sponsored Video from another Chinese gaming company!
Added 2022-06-21 04:13:33 +0000 UTCSo this was a weird request, but I was contacted by a Chinese gaming company to rap about their new game based off an anime called Ensemble Stars, which is about Japanese idol boybands competing against one another like it's Japan's Got Talent style. THe music is actually pretty good, and the game is based off of the music as like a rhythm game.
I told them I could make a song based on the anime and they agreed. I produced the beat using a sample from the soundtrack and then wrote the lyrics, sent it over for approval, and at first they wanted me to take out "for the girls that lookin pretty" and I had to assure them that it wasn't an offensive line or anything so they agreed to let me keep it. Weird. They also picked up the RUN DMC reference too. Who knew Chinese people get down like that?
Kevin at first edited the video using the anime footage but after waiting for weeks, they said he has to redo the video for copyright, so he had to reedit using the video game footage instead. Very lame.
Anyways, this is going out on Wednesday, and it's sponsored, so I won't be charging for this on patreon. Should I upload it on Spotify and Apple? I'm not even sure, but I guess I'll ask and see. Let me know what you think in the comments below!
