2025-11-05 01:31:47 +0000 UTCI actually saw the second movie in this series first, which is super unusual for me, I almost never do that. The only other exception I can think of is the second movie in the proper Ring series, i.e. the Japanese original series, which is the only Ring series as far as I'm concerned :) That movie could be why I've been a Hiroyuki Sanada fan for many years.. All in all, I think this is a series I wouldn't have normally bothered with, I must have tripped and fallen on it - though I do like magic, and I like the method revealing too. I think Jaby's points are perfectly valid, but they don't stop it being fun, and fun is why we watch movies after all. On Jaby's point about Vegas, if he goes, I highly recommend seeing Penn and Teller whilst they're still performing; they're incredible live and they're getting on in years and nobody is really like them. I didn't see them in Vegas (London, in fact), but they were amazing. On the coffee at night thing, caffeine doesn't affect me at all in that sense, I can have a coffee - and I drink strong proper coffee - and go to sleep 30 minutes later no issues.
