Wayman Tisdale was an NBA All-Star that retired and actually became a professional touring Jazz musician. He was not a pianist though but a bass guitarist. He was absolutely amazing though, but died way too young. He died at age 45 in 2009 due to bone cancer. A year before this film came out. He was also best friends with Country Music Legend, Toby Keith, who also had an early death at age 62 in 2024 from stomach cancer. It was a Western epic that starred Anson Mount, Common, and Colm Meaney. Anson Mount and Common are phenomenal in that series. It was also like Game of Thrones as well, where there are high stakes and no character is safe.
