This movie is based on another Terry McMillan book. With Bernadine, the Wesly Snipes character and her stay in touch and stay friends. The connection they made was real. They eventually got together after his wife dies. To me that was the most beautiful part of the story. They were both 2 people in a bad place and they were able to be there for each other without sex.

My daughter (age 30) hadn’t seen this movie since she was really young, we watched it together with you guys and it was so much fun. All the different actors, and the story was done very well. It actually reminds me of when me and my friends in college read the book prior to the movie being made. Yes I'm that old 😆 Well, since Wesley Snipes made an appearance, I would like to suggest that we watch New Jack City! He was outstanding and the entire cast is awesome. Ice T, Mario Van Peebles, Chris Rock, Judd Nelson. Its one of my favorites, you will not be disappointed! Again thank you for this one, very special to me! RIP Whitney Houston

I did find myself thinking when you were questioning Wesley Snipes character, “oh no, they started this journey on Tyler Perry movies, now they’re conditioned to not trust men” 😂 I liked that Snipes situation with Angela left on that note. That happens to people- you just meet at the wrong times in your life and later end up together. But leaving it like that made it feel authentic to me. With the news that WB is remaking The Bodyguard - you guys should really check out Whitney and Kevin Costner - so good! Also, Passenger 57 is a good one for Wesley Snipes I think you guys will like.

A black history movie I would suggest is Judas and the Black Messiah, it also has LaKieth Stanfield. You didn’t ask but I just wanted to put that out there.

He directed the HELLLL out of this film and he has a reaaaaly good radio voice! ♥♥♥♥Also, technically he's your father, not your daddy, 👀. and to answer your question Jaby about Angele's lack of aging: black shall never crack. 😉
