Distinguished Gentlemen I just rediscovered

Excellent Review! Glad we're finally getting Herlem Knights. The next one I would recommend is IM GONNA GET YOU SUKA Another Wayans Brothers Movie

Cali_logan

This was the film that Boyz II Men’s iconic song, End of the Road, was written for. Here’s a great cover of that song. https://youtu.be/-lCRFAFtj-A?si=_Wbe58jghyv6GHuU

Yes!

Great film. Ive only seen bits and pieces of it on tv. Nice to see it as a whole. Scenes ive seen: the gnarly feet; coordinate coordinate; chris rock with almost every seen; grace jones' entranće; halle barry (didnt even know robin gibbins was an opoption)

Such a fun reaction as always! Boomerang is yet another Eddie Murphy classic and one of my favorites. I was so thrilled to get the notification that you watched it. Would love to suggest Coming To America, Jason's Lyric, and Dreamgirls.

Im glad you mentioned the Melvin Van Peebles. Hell most blk people who love this movie dont know who he is and they should. black directors of today stand on his shoulders. And the Jake Smollet is another one. he is not as well known as his Jussie and Jurnee. If they ever get into the 70s black films they will get even more of the references that are made in the 80's and 90s films they are watching.

Great reaction guys. I'm a 90s kid this one is definitely in my top 5 of 90s movies. So glad you guys got to watch this classic.

Mike Bridges

For real.

A few fun facts....1. The two guys outside trying to sell Marcus jewelry from brief cases are brothers, Reginald and Warrington Hudlin. Reginald is the producer/ director of Boomerang and also House Party. 2. The majority of John Witherspoon's lines were improvised. 3. The editor for the second Strange' commercial is the legendary Melvin Van Peebles, father of Mario Van Peebles. 3. The little boy in Angela's art class that threatens the wad of paper at Marcus is Jurnee Smollet's younger brother Jake Smollet.

Abbe Cummings

Its hard to explain how big this movie was in the blk community. Everybody that was anybody at that time was either in the movie or on the soundtrack. Still one of the greatest soundtracks ever.

Carla Davis

Great reaction! This was a fun movie, partly memorable for some outlandish ads, and the right celebrities for its most sensational characters. Grace Jones was perfect as Strange'. Eartha Kitt (Catwoman on the Batman TV Series) was ideal as Lady Eloise. And Geoffrey Holder, as the spot producer, well known in real life from his 7-Up commercials, was the best choice. "Love Shoulda Brought You Home" is my favorite song on the Boomerang soundtrack - performed by Toni Braxton. But "End of the Road" by Boys II Men became a massive hit. This movie takes me back. Very enjoyable visual and aural aesthetics.

Love this reaction 🤣. I would love to see you guys to react to Dreamgirls (2006) featuring Jennifer Hudson and Beyonce

Robin

Great review guys!!! I have other black film suggestions—Baby Boy (2001) and The Players Club (1998).

Jacob

I'm so happy! Glad you enjoyed it and saw the nuance within the movie! It is one of my favorite films with Eddie Murphy. Now if you want a good cartoon comedy, may I suggest Bebe's Kids! Also the Itsy Bitsy Spider short that played before it!

MM
